She is present at the guesthouse all day and every time you arrive back there from an activity she is there wanting to give you coffee or lemonade. She also arranged a cheap tuktuk for us to go to the desert and arranged the jeep back to Neiva to pick us up at her guesthouse. Her breakfasts are also tasty and we can't thank her and her husband enough for making us feel like a part of the family

It was really cool to be out in the middle of nowhere in the desert. The hotel is very rustic and located on a functioning ranch with cows and horses and everything. It is also walking distance from the two grey desert hiking trails. The owner was really friendly and fun to chat with as well as helpful with anything we needed. The food was also some of the best hotel food we’ve had.

We loved our stay here. It was a bit of a splurge for us on an otherwise budget trip to Colombia and it did not disappoint. We loved stargazing on the net hammock and generally being in the middle of nowhere. Cindy was very friendly and prepared excellent food.

The hostel is in a great location close to the main square of Villavieja. Everything necessary is very close. The rooms are very clean and the beds comfortable. Also there is a nice patio which is great to to relax and spent some time in the hamacs. Also sandra, the landlady is very attentive and nice.

The owners of the place were amazing and were even waiting outside for me, so I knew which hostel it was after a long journey. They helped me plan a tour to the desert, and the location was walking distance from the square. The place was clean and good value for money

Located just a 10 minutes walk outside of Villavieja, this beautiful cabin works great as a starting point for exploring the area. It has a great bed, amazing bathroom, a kitchen, a TV, air conditioning, and a laundry machine. There is a good, local restaurant almost next door where you can eat, or you can go into town.

Offering an outdoor portable pool and views of the garden, Dunas Tatacoa is located in Villavieja. Neiva is 34 km away. Free private parking is available on site. Perfectly close to and in the desert, but luxury to us. We had a room that was actually a large tent but perfect with a little air conditioner we had to turn off because it was too cold. Perfect breakfast typical with fruit and actually good coffee which was a pleasant surprise. It was a shared bathroom, but there aren't that many rooms and it was always clean. They have they're own little store for drinks and snacks too. The best part was them hooking us up with the observatory and learning about all the stars at night. Best time in Tatacoa and I've visited before like most of us de Huila. Oh, the pool was perfectly clean and temperature was great too perfect place
