Tampere Maja offers accommodation in an 18th century wooden house in the heart of the Old Town of Tartu. There is a cultural club in the cellar, showing exhibitions of Estonian and Finnish art. The staff were wonderful and very friendly. I loved the cleanliness too (hats off to the cleaning lady!). The building itself was a delight too.

What an amazing apartment. The quality of the workmanship and finish was superb and beautifully constructed. The materials from the wooden floor to the wonderful glass as well as the well fitted bath room were really brilliant. The outlook form the property was great up in the trees. Located in a fully modernised and renovated building and only a few steps from the centre of town. I had a car which was easy to park in the local area. I felt very safe and very fortunate to have stayed in this wonderful apartment. The cherry on the cake was the Jura coffee machine which I used with care and enjoyed very much. Just a note of caution - it is on the third floor up the stairs without a lift. If you have suitcases be prepared to carry them up, but it is worth the effort!
