The family-run Vogafjos Guesthouse is set in a unique natural environment on the eastern shore of Lake Myvatn. It offers rooms with a patio and free Wi-Fi. The farm was such a treat. The family runs the hotel, farm. and the restaurant. The hot pots were great for soaking, and a view of the farm animals and the older historic farm house. The restaurant was beautifully decorated with art work made by a great aunt of the family. It had an inviting atmosphere, and delicious food made by the family, all farm to table. A place I would love to stay again!

Favourite hotel that I stayed in during my Iceland trip. Full length glass windows with views of mountains in the distance. 2 bedroom Suite – Master bedroom and smaller room with 2 single beds. Beds were so comfortable and quilt was fluffy and warm. Suite had private soaking tub overlooking snow capped mountains 😊 There was a kitchenette and barbeque grill – it would have been lovely to have a BBQ in the midst of this beautiful and tranquil surroundings. Hotel had a good buffet breakfast spread.

We received a nice treat from the host. It feels like more than a house; it feels like 'home.' The facilities, especially the kitchen, are excellent. Everything is clean, and the bed is so comfy. Excellent cooking and washing facilities, easy parking and a great host. There's outdoor space too. It was down to -11c when I was there and the place was warm and cosy. Everything is super-clean too.

Very clean facility and is highly recommended for anyone who wants to clear his or hers mind of city noise.
