The best place really close to Udawalawe elephant transit home and National park. In reality it's much better than shown in photos. It's very stylish, comfortable and super clean. Hot water, fan, wi-fi, everything working fine. Breakfasts and dinner were simple but very tasty. The owners are very helpful and nice. We spent three nights there and didn't regret anything. Oh and the garden is just spectacular. I spent lots of time here with a book and a cup of tea and it was really a lovely time. Safari can be organised by the owner or you can have a deal in front of the elephant transit home - there are lots of jeep drivers coming and waiting every day.

It was really nice place to stay before safari. Room and bathroom are clean and spacious, staff is helpful and friendly. But the most what we liked is safari offered by the host. Dont even look for another offers. Firstly offer from share Safari Lodge. is cheaper and secondly we had absolutely stunning guide! the guide is the most important on safari and we are very grateful for this.

We loved everything at this stay. The host really tries to accommodate every request. My spouse had her birthday, and he helped me organize a surprise safari. The villa is amazing, super well decorated and everything is clean and tidy. You wake up with a view right into the forest. Also always important for me: the bathroom. Great warm shower!

One of the best acommodations on my trip to Sri Lanka. The location itself is great - not far away from the village center, but still in nice, quiet local road where you can meet lots of friendly local people. The garden in Mango tree house is very beautiful and very well kept! The cottages are super clean, very spacious and beautiful. Loved the waterfall shower in bathroom! The owner family is very friendly and welcoming. You can feel very relaxed there as they help in everything needed. I got my rides organized by the owners which saved my time a lot. Also their dinner was great, one of the best local meals I’ve had in Sri Lanka. Even if they dont have pool, there is one at really near by hotel that the owner directed me to enjoy refreshing swim on a hot day. You only pay small fee to enter the pool. I would definitely stay here again!

The Elephant Next-Door i Udawalawe ligger knappt 8 km från Udawalawe nationalpark och erbjuder en rad bekvämligheter, bland annat en trädgård. Elephant next door is a true recommendation. Small gem right next to Udalawe Nationalpark. Very cute design, you see Janaka the owner put a lot of heart and soul into this place. He is nothing but friendly and helpful. He organizes everything you need and in his little own restaurant he is offering amazing local food for his guests. Go for early morning safari with Leel and you will be the first to enter the park, see Elephants and enjoy the morning in nature when the park awakes around you. The room has AC and ceiling fan, hot shower water, moskito net (which we actually didn’t need) and is clean. Cute front room serves as a kind of living room and outside patio with a nice place to sit, free games and yoga mats! Elephant Transit home and Restaurants in walking distance. Would always go there again when staying in Sri Lanka! Price-value is top! 10 out of 10.

Peacock Villa Resort ligger i Udawalawe, 8,2 km från Udawalawe nationalpark, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering och en gemensam lounge. We absolutely loved Peacock Villa! The family who runs it is so incredibly kind and friendly. You stay on their property where the meals are home cooked (tbh the best food I had in all or Sri Lanka), they drive you in their keep for the safari and the property itself is beautiful. While sitting on the balcony, we saw a bunch of monkeys crossing through trees. They will also help arrange transportation for you at a great rate considering the distance. I can’t wait to come back here sometime again!

We enjoyed our 2 night stay, the staff had breakfast waiting on us for when we came back from the safari. My son loved the pool:)
