Every now and then you stay in accommodation that makes you wish you were able to live in permanently, and consider redecorating your own house. This is one of those places. The owners have exquisite taste in terms of decor, and at the same time have created a comfortable atmosphere that makes you feel at home. Small details (you can try their impressive tea collection and enjoy the equally impressive record and CD collection) make this so much more than just another hotel/apartment. The staff in the cafe downstairs are very friendly, and for a drink and something light to eat I would not bother going anywhere else. Vianden is a lovely town to walk around, visit the castle or do a bit of hiking.

The Vianden Cottage - Charming Cottage in the Forest has a patio and is situated in Vianden, within just 1 km of Vianden Chairlift and 1 km of Victor Hugo Museum. As soon as Glen stepped out of his car and greeted us (including our dog), we knew that the weekend couldn't go wrong! He gave us a guided tour inside the cozy cottage, literally in the middle of forest, yet still close enough to the village down the hill. We ordered some BBQ-ready food from Glen and oh, it was so delicious! The deck is covered, so you can BBQ even when it rains. The cottage is decorated with a lot of personal touch and it makes it very homy. In the morning, we could see squirrels and birds out of the windows. We are already planning to come back in the summertime!

In the middle of the beautiful nature along the banks of the river l'Our, Hotel Nagel will be pleased to welcome you. Guests can make use of free Wi-Fi through the hotel as well as the free parking. There is a castle nearby which was convinient to visit either walking or cycling and then take a cable car up. The place has a kitchen and a bathroom in the room. Free convinient parking. Overall good place. Recommend.
