Host was very responsive and kind. Stairwell looks run down, but interior is bright and cheerful. Host nestled all sorts of amenities in a small space in inventive ways, such as small string lights to create workspace illumination. Cheerful place. Comfortable sitting space, kitchen table with chairs. Many mirrors. Comfortable bed and light-blocking drapes for sound sleep. Has huge TV (which we didn't use). Excellent secure internet! Note to travelers from USA: this is Latvia. Think of US amenities circa 1950. No microwave. Single burner hotplate with many good pans, a great hot water/tea kettle. Small dorm-size fridge works well, keeps food nice and cold. To use the washing machine, twist the water valve under the sink to horizontal position. To shower, twist to vertical. Also remember that utilities are very expensive in Latvia; it is a kindness to your host to conserve.

We stayed in the house with terrace and the view at the lake was magnificent at sunset. House comes with chairs and table on the terrace, so we could relax after a busy day and enjoy our dinner outside with a fantastic view. The house itself looks new, clean and there is everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff was very friendly. Absolutely great experience, would definitely recommend.

A lot of light and a feeling of openness toward the outside. Third floor. No lift. This is not a complaint, I only offer that to make others aware, because some have trouble climbing the stairs.

Rothko Museum residences is a multi-functional complex located in the Arsenal building at Daugavpils Fortress. It was very cool to stay in a museum for the night!

I feel like relative here. Hosts were very friendly. I had boat trip even it was snow . they did not hesitate to prepare the boat. Kitchen was very big with two oven. there were many plates. I feel really as like home. Outside was cold but inside was very warm. Hot water in bathroom. They also provide hairdryer. In the morning I found nice cake with note in the fridge. I wanted peacefull alone vacation. and this place was perfect for that.
