The family was very welcoming, easy to talk to and open. The location was exactly what I needed, a nice break from the bustling city and pollution. Trees and plants all around. And a beautiful sunset right from the terrace. Good food. Easy to get to Nagarkot with the local bus.

Situated just 2.7 km from Pashupatinath, Swagat homestay offers accommodation in Kathmandu with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as room service. For me the best part were Sugat and Roshani, whose Homestay it is. Every morning at breakfast I would speak to one or both of them which made me feel welcome and at ease. It also made it very easy for me to ask any questions I had about for example where to go for a specific bus or place to visit, or even having Sugat help me book the bus to Pokhara. While I was gone for a few days, I could leave my bigger bag at their place. They were a fantastic support! 🙏

Set in Nagarkot, within 16 km of Bhaktapur Durbar Square and 25 km of Boudhanath Stupa, Nagarkot Trekkers Inn offers accommodation with a garden and free WiFi as well as free private parking for... i knew i wanted to stay there but i didnt organize myself so well, thanks god, the owner took care of me and sent his son to pick me up in the evening from the bus station. the room are huge and have windows everywhere. the food is good, the location is great (not in the center though).
