The meals they cooked us were so delicious that I had to ask for the soup recipe when we left. They happily answered all of our questions about the island and their culture. We even got to see Mario dance in the Fiesta de Santiago, which was incredible!

Issac had great communication from the start and provided very easy instructions to and from Puno. We took a local taxi to the port as there was no Uber and the boat ride which is amazing was about 20 min. For an additional cost we opted for an amazing dinner brought to our room. Our fav was the bed which was the comfiest in all of Peru with a king size mattress. Sunset views are spectacular and the serene calm of the lake was an experience. Thank you to Issac and his family for all their hospitality and very warm welcome and goodbye.

Taquile Sumaq Wasi - Casa de Felipe e Ines erbjuder boende i Huillanopampa med en trädgård. I'm genuinely happy to have spent some time at Ines and Felipe's. Everyone is super kind and we had the luck of being there while the family cooked for other community members and hosted a session of Easter chants, to which we have been allowed to take part. The apartment was very spacios and close to the city. Our host was already very helpful. He arrange or offer us delivery of food, taxi etc. He was always here for us. Thank you very much. The location is very quiet and secure.

We decided to stay with local people from the Uros, and their rooms are beautiful just as we were looking for, basic and views of the lake, our host was friendly, and we took their kayak tour, great, if you want to live a different experience this is the option, recommended!
