From the moment we got there, the staff was so welcoming and nice. There was even a mix-up with the taxi picking us up at the airport which was no fault of theirs and they were so apologetic. I loved staying here and can't wait to be back. It was the best sleep I've gotten in a long time. And the location, was perfect. It really is very close to everything you may need. Thanks Arenal Xilopalo for making our first time to Costa Rica so special. Pura vida!

We have stayed in many different places in La fortuna area and for one day we stayed in the tree house in Rio celeste area(limit 100$ per day). We did not want leave. This stay was by far better for a similar price. More comfy bed, clean soft towels, tasty food, nice idea of being elevated while watching birds in trees.

Situated within 2.8 km of La Fortuna Waterfall and 7 km of Kalambu Hot Springs in Fortuna, La Fortuna Waterfall Bungalows provides accommodation with seating area. Everything was great! Things in the Bungalows are new and good, it has a mini fridge, sink, dishes for 2, big bathroom, good tv and AC. Even though it's in a reserved place it's pretty close to downtown and many different restaurants. It has an extra air mattress if you're traveling with more ppl. Carla greeted us and was very helpful and caring! We highly recommend the Bungalow!

Set in Fortuna in the Alajuela region and La Fortuna Waterfall reachable within 10 km, Chalets Silencio del Bosque offers accommodation with free WiFi, BBQ facilities, a garden and free private... This is a family-run business who cannot do more for their guests! All of the staff were so lovely, helpful, and informative about nature including giving us fruit picked from the trees! The breakfast every morning was delicious (defo go for the typical Costa Rican breakfast) cooked by the owners. We also ate from their restaurant which was YUMMY! Thanks to Chalets Silencio , we had a perfect stay with you! The nature here is breathtaking, the flowers, trees, fruits and so many animals!!! Note that the location of the lodge is outside of downtown La Fortuna but it was perfect for us as that's exactly what we wanted for two nights before moving to a downtown location :)

I cannot even begin to explain how awesome our stay was at Cecropia. Jay and Noela are the most amazing people and the passion they have cannot be explained, only experienced. The night walk was out of this world and the knowledge that were shared will always be treasured. Noela makes the most amazing food and natural juices and everything about our stay was exceptional. Too bad we can only rate 10 and not 100. Absolutely, absolutely recommended for anyone.

Situated in Fortuna, 14 km from La Fortuna Waterfall and 7.5 km from Kalambu Hot Springs, Las Pavitas Cottages features accommodation with free WiFi and a garden with a terrace and mountain views. Beautiful uninterrupted view of the Arenal volcano and valley. Quiet, rural setting with a few cabins nearby. The bedroom had double windows opening on to the patio. It was a good size with 2 comfortable queen beds and a put up bed for a child. Aircon was only in the bedroom, it was quiet and efficient. There was a large shower unit with lots of hot water. Cushioned seats and a table were on a covered patio which was large enough to use during a downpour. The settee in the living area was a good size. The kitchen has a full sized freestanding cooker with 4 rings , a microwave, rice steamer, and mini oven grill, coffee machine and kettle. Cooking utensils were limited to spoons/ slice and a knife. There were plenty of pans & a colander. The 11kg load washing machine was a bonus. Daniel was quick to respond, friendly and helpful. We were delighted when he introduced us to Freddy a local sloth at the end of the drive.
