Wonderful place - not only because of the nice view and their location , big rooms with balcony but especially because of thissara. He is such a friendly and caring person and does everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Can highly recommend this place!

The location, view and staff were amazing. Away from pollution and the air is clean. The river and water fall is very close and can be reached by 3 minute walking. The food is healthy and they can cater our preferences.

Offering a barbecue and views of the mountain, Rainforest Mount Lodge is situated in Deniyaya. Rain Forest Mount lodge is located opposite the main Pitadeniya entrance to the Sinharaja Rain Forest. Amazing views and lovely family. Great easy guided walk in the forest we saw so much nature.

My recent stay at Charming Dark Lodge in River was nothing short of exceptional, marking it as the best homestay experience I have ever encountered. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that exceeded all expectations. The highlight of our stay was undeniably our incredible host, who spared no effort in ensuring our comfort and satisfaction. From delicious lunches and dinners to delightful surprises and the most mouth-watering fish barbecue - probably the best meal I have had in the two months I have been in Sri Lanka. Beyond the culinary delights, our room was a sanctuary of comfort and style. Immaculately clean, equipped with a kitchen containing everything one could possibly need, and beautifully built and decorated. Originally intending to stay for four nights, we found ourselves captivated by the charm of Charming Dark Lodge, extending our stay to twelve nights. Departing was bittersweet, as we had grown attached to the unparalleled hospitality and the tranquil ambiance of our temporary home. A particularly memorable moment was celebrating my birthday during our stay. Our host went above and beyond to ensure it was an unforgettable occasion, adding a personal touch that truly made me feel special. Without a doubt, if I ever find myself in Sri Lanka again, Charming Dark Lodge will be my first choice for accommodation. Offering a garden and pool view, Greencliff Mirissa is situated in Mirissa, 2.8 km from Weligama Beach and 34 km from Galle International Cricket Stadium. The pool is part jacuzzi, so that was a pleasant surprise. Quiet surroundings with a fantastic paddy field view. Kitchen had all the necessary utensils with a decent supply of spices and condiments. Would definitely come back here.

From my heart: Apart from a really incredible picturesque location, which would really touch something inside your inner world, the staff’s scrupulous attention to your needs makes this stay unforgettable and gives the warmth as if you are staying at home. Set in Mirissa in the Matara District region, Cinnamon View Lodge Mirissa features a balcony. It is located 2.1 km from Weligama Beach and provides room service. The little house on the tree is pretty unique! while staying there for one night we saw: monkeys, chipmunks, lizard and frog. I adore animals, so for me it was the greatest pleasure. The host is a nicest man. He served us a perfect breakfast and also gave an interview to mu husband, since he was shooting a video about the country. I would like to come back to this place one day to stay a little longer. Big thanks!

Located in Deniyaya in the Matara District region, Rainforest Nature House provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The hosts are amazing!! It's run by two brothers on their parents' tea plantation. The two brothers are helpful, caring, polite, and very eager to show you around in their village. And I will absolutely encourage you to let them show you around. Their mum makes the most delicious meals, better than any restaurants I've visited during my 3 weeks stay. The little house has a beautiful view of the rain forest. I really enjoyed sitting on the little balcony drinking coffee. It's a kettle in the room so you can have coffee or tea whenever you like to. They also arranged a walk in Sinharaja for me, it was a very nice walk, about 4 hours. We didn't see a lot, so if you're interested in birds, I will recommend doing some of the longer hikes. And even go in another gate than the closest one.

Offering free WiFi and a garden, The Whitegates Lodge is located in Midigama, 6 km from Ahangama. Galle is 26 km away. Free private parking is available on site. All units include a seating area. This was our favourite stay in Sri Lanka! Soo clean and no bugs at all, not even an ant, crazy! The host is super nice and welcoming. Lots of big water bottles you can buy for 70s only and place in your private fridge. The bed is comfy, four pillows, great water pressure, fantastic a/c and the breakfast is amazing. Wifi also worked great in our room and in the courtyard area. Our favourite aspect was the wild beach 1min wall away. It's the best swimming beach, very private, and there's a delicious restaurant there where we ate fried rice everyday for lunch for 500 rs. We stayed here for 3 nights but could easily have stayed longer. Highly recommend you stay here.
