My room was incredible and comfortable, with a terrace overlooking the lake and volcano concepcion. The sunsets there are amazing! The food was delicious and affordable. Miguel and staff were amazing, very kind, and helpful. The hotel has an excellent location and is very spacious with large distances between buildings, which makes it feel more private than other more cramped hotels.

The best part of staying here is that Hector makes you feel like family. He is such a kind man. He's willing to stop what he's doing to help at any time. We felt safe there because he was always either downstairs or nearby. The location is very ideal. It's right off the main road and I liked how it was kind of central to all of the adventures and activities we wanted to do. The Saturday market was also right along that road as well which was cool! It is a great budget friendly place. You have everything you need. Don't expect it to be luxurious but expect to have everything you need here. Plus you get to look out at the lake from your patio! Great coffee spot! There's a couple good restaurants that are walking distance as well as a tiny "pulperia" to get some basic food for the place. If you're wanting to do all of your cooking here just make sure to bring some groceries from the Mainland as your options will be limited.

I really loved my stay at Finca Magdalena. It is so peaceful and quiet there. The rooms are spacious and the view from the balcony just amazing. There are lovely hiking trails in the woods. The staff is friendly and helpful. I will certainly be back.
