Bad Sauerbrunn is a small spa town with spectacular villas...
Bad Sauerbrunn is a small spa town with spectacular villas and set on the edge of the Rosaliengebirge. It offers wonderful views across the Wulkatal. It has been in Austria since 1921 and was briefly the capital of Burgenland. For a small town or large village, there are ample food and drink outlets, influenced by the Austrian, Croatian and Hungarian history of the area. There is a balance of good country cooking together with slightly more sophisticated establishments. Local wines, Schnaps and fruit are well known.
In addition to a good road network there is a good train service with fast connections to Vienna (via Wiener Neustadt) and Budapest (via Sopron).
The hotel is placed next to a small park, so the view was lovely. The room was quite comfortable. The breakfast was very satisfying. The staff speaks good English and is quite helpful.
