I liked the creative, artistic vibe of the cottage. It was also immaculately clean, quality bathroom products and interesting objects. Priced very reasonably. I gave it 'fabulous'!

Very quirky place to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in the old cottage. It was a bit cold and dark when we arrived but next morning the sun flooded in and it was a whole different place. We had an exceptional meal at the hotel five minutes walk away

The cottage was really cute and quite spacious. We had everything we needed to be self sufficient during our stay. It was in a quiet location that lended itself to lots of interesting walks and we will certainly recommend it to family and friends.
Burra is a delightfully scenic town with good amenities.

A most beautiful historic town.
A most beautiful historic town. Well presented sites within walking distance or short drive
Stupid key system to see many significant sights. Pay for key for all , cannot pay for a ticket for individual sites
We had a good meal at the local pub

I have visited Burra en route a number of times purposefully because it is such a quaint, well preserved historical town with interesting buildings and friendly people. The pubs serve great food and local wines. And of course I go to photograph the Midnight Oil house!

Lovely country town. Burra Heritage Trail well worth doing. Part is easy walk from town, but easy drive to the rest. Lots of interpretive signs. Pub meals are excellent. Try Burra lamb pie. So good! Variety of shops and cafes too. Everyone friendly and welcoming.

We liked Burra but 4 out of 5 pubs were closed and did not have signs up to notify customers. The visitor info and the booth behind the massage store were both closed so we couldn’t buy a passport key. For the tourists there could be a bit more information and communication. The sights we did visit without a passport key were interesting.
We ate at a good dinner at the Royal exchange hotel but as the only pub open was very busy with quite a long wait.
The next day we ate lunch at Bon Accord which was good food and a beautiful place with an interesting and friendly publican Tim.
