Quality Hotel Bentinck, hotel in Portland

Originally constructed in 1855, Quality Hotel Bentinck features Victorian-style architecture. Just 2 minutes’ walk from Portland Beach, it offers 2 on-site restaurants and a fitness center.

The standard continental breakfast was ok, but the ordered breakfast was pretty good. Was made to order pretty quickly so that was appreciated.

Mariner Motel, hotel in Portland

Just 10 minutes’ walk from Portland Bay, Mariner Motel offers rooms with a flat-screen TV and Netflix channels. It features free WiFi, a lovely garden and a barbecue area with outdoor seating.

We had a surprisingly good stay, with good modern facilities, a very comfortable bed and everything was quite new. We noted that everything was neat and clean. Parking was easy and right by the door. Pretty quiet too, even though the motel is right on a main road. Units are sheltered from noise by a wall.

My comfortable overnight stay to break the inland journey from Adelaide to Melbourne was an excellent choice. It was not long enough to see much more than the gorgeous Bay, averting eyes away from the port constructions at one side. I enjoyed an excellent seafood meal at the nearby beachfront restaurant.

Seascape was a beautiful place to stay.

Seascape was a beautiful place to stay. Very clean, modern and an easy walk to the shoreline and town. We walked to town and picked up some roasted chicken & the fixings and ate back at the apartment. Fully equipped kitchen! Unfortunately, we only stayed 1 night, so can't recommend things to do in Portland, although it is a quaint little town.

Its a great experience to have train ride and the light house and the beach near by. Its a small and welcoming city. Worth to visit car museum if you like motor vehicles. The whale museum is also good. Its easy to spend half a day to one day. Ther is a beautiful lavendar garden on the way to great ocean road from portland, worth a visit.

Portland has so much to offer both in close vicinity and just a short drive away. From the interesting activities at the Port to the many walks around town, safe swimming at Nuns Beach and some very cute shops and cafes. A short drive to Bridgewater and you will find the most gorgeous beach that gives QLD beaches some strong competition. A few more min up from Bridgewater and there are spectacular view of Blowholes and the ocean at its fiercest. The historic lighthouse at Cape Nelson is a short drive from the other end of Portland.

Pretty country Victoria town on the sea.

Pretty country Victoria town on the sea. The beach is right in town, else you can drive 15mins to Bridgewater where there's a Cafe right beside the beach with extensive menu & lots indoor or outdoor seating. The Royal hotel in Portland city also offers an extensive menu, very reasonably priced with friendly service and multiple eating / drinking areas, plenty parking or 1 block walk from William Dutton hotel. Portland has Aldi, IGA & Woolworths supermarkets

We visited the park near the port, had a short walk along the beach. The area is clean and safe. We enjoyed the view. We also visited the botanical garden. It is great. Small garden, but lots of beautiful flowers. the city has got several very good places for lunch or dinner. We visited one and had a great lunch. I liked the view form the cliff to the port. It is unique, but it is hard to find the stairs to the beach from the cliff as it is hidden. February is a good time to visit: not too hot, and not cold, perfect.

Absolutely amazing place, very clean, has been renovated, keeping the style. Out of all the places we stayed during our trip, was far the best one and cheapest for a family of 4 ! Has everything you need, from laundry, games to a brand new and fancy microwave. Bathroom renovated, many places we went to weren’t. Caretaker is great, does his best to make your stay confortable. Our daughter forgot a shoe and he offered to send it back to us. Great and easy walks around the lighthouse. Such a cute place! Highly recommend

This was our second stay at Victoria House and once again really enjoyed our stay. Mandy really made us feel special and happy to help us with her local knowledge of Portland and region. You can tell that she has pride in her guest house with her friendly, professional customer service reflecting this. We really enjoyed the full cooked breakfast, the lounge room with piano, complimentary Sherry, Port and fruit cake provided. This is now our place to stay in Portland !

Very nice house! It is the best among our stays ever. Unlike ordinary holiday park or self-contained cabin, we enjoyed as a home. Very well equipped kitchen, own cooking is highly preferrable. Everything is clean and tidy. The garden is so beautiful with so many succulent plants. Location is good with just a 10 minutes drive from Portland town, very close to Cape Nelson Lightstation. It is great to explore nearby capes attractions.

The room itself was fine but was missing some of the basic things like drinking water, facial tissues. its customers responsibility to bring everything with and just dont expect anything from hotel to provide any of these. Everything is extra if you would like to purchase and that also not available. The hotel room is overpriced, we would not pay the price we paid for the kind of service my family have experienced.

Comfortable, clean apartment with all the necessities in a very convenient location, with fabulous views of Portland Bay and the Port. Check-in instructions were clear and straightforward. Apartment is located within easy walking distance (2 blocks) of Woolworths supermarket and VLine bus stop. Portland's swimming beach is a short walk away. Plenty of hotels nearby if you fancy a pub meal.

Everything! It was such a welcomed surprise after travelling for 6 weeks and ending up in some very mediocre accommodations. The owner was very helpful, accommodation was charming and immaculate and the location was fabulous. We would recommend without hesitation and should we return to the area we would absolutely stay at the Annesley House again.

Fantastic place to stay, clean, modern, well thought out accomodation, great value for money. All the amenities you'd expect and more. Great location, parking outside your door, and the owner was friendly and welcoming too. Highly recommend Mariner Motel, of the 4 different motels/hotels we stayed in on our trip, this place was the best by far.

This seemed to be one of the cheaper places I could stay in Portland, and it's certainly a budget/basic accommodation. I was pleased extra blankets were provided in the rooms, and the heater worked excellently. Several towels were also provided. The motel was very close to the centre of town.
