Everyone was lovely and friendly locals and the old hotels were impressive and also the shops in town of yesterday’s era. There is a bit to see in the town.
There is a bit to see in the town. The locals are very friendly. We had a good time at the North Gregory Hotel which has a great beer garden if the weather is right. There is an outdoor cinema theatre worth visiting. We loved staying in an authentic small outback town which retained its original buildings and charm, while still providing for visitors. There was a choice of pubs for refreshments and meals, and plenty to look at and experience (without being too 'in your face'). We loved being in the middle of nowhere, comfortably and not in a motel chain room! Wi-fi wasn't easy to access for us - that was fine for me but may bother some people. It was hot in the room on arrival, but was able to cool down with the AC. This isn't fancy accommodation, but it was really clean, well equipped, had a good shower & the bed was perhaps the most comfortable on my trip.
