Hotel in Plainland
Located in Plainland, Porter's Plainland Hotel offers 4-star accommodation with a bar. Dinner was excellent but breakfast was absolutely exceptional! The staff were very friendly, but more than that they were genuine in their care and service, I can't rate the staff highly enough. The facilities and rooms were amazing but there were little touches (availability of firmer pillows if we wanted - we didn't, the wine menu rating the wines from dry to sweet, the shampoo in the courtesy products was so nice!) I loved every minute of it an can't recommend the hotel and food highly enough. Thank you

Noosa is a beautiful place. This was our second trip to Noosa in 5 years. The weather was beautiful considering cyclone up North effecting the whole Queensland coast. The beach was alittle rough on our last day there, lots of rips, and strong currents, to the point of many rescues and threats of closing the beach. Not a lot has changed in this time, however, the quality of food is not that good and more expensive compared to last time. Need to really pick the restaurants, as I am unsure how they survive with the quality they are dishing out. Fishing was a lot of fun
Hired a car to get around whilst in Queensland, parking in the city would have cost $100+ Did not enjoy stay in Brisbane, Surfers Paradise was much more inviting to tourists.
Kingaroy is a clean lovely Queensland town. Loved having a look around. We walked to the RSL from our motel which was a short 5 minutes. Great meals and entertainment.
Yeppoon is a lovely holiday destination for the young and the old, families with children and couples. The opening of the new lagoon pool comlpex lifted Yeppoon into a class of its own and by the looks of the unfailing of the firts section of the water park “Keppel Kraken” Yeppoon will soon be one of the hottest holiday destination in Queensland. There is lots to do and see from lovely long flat beaches, beachside lagoon pool, waterpark, playground, to 4x4 tracks, wildlife parks, islands and great restaurants and shops.
Burleigh heads was that little quieter than Surfers.Gathering of age groups also appealed. Restaurants & Hotels employed friendly staff always willing to be of service. Location to southern parts of Queensland ideal .Gerard Collins
Iconic Far North Queensland Town where the local economy is largely tourism based with strong retail and hospitality sectors. Established businesses professionally provide excellence in service at all levels and enthusiastically turn dreams into reality. The town embraces the magnificent Daintree Rain-forest and Mossman Gorge. It lies extremely close to world famous Great Barrier Reef, the focus of many tourist adventures.
Generally a lot less hassle than Sydney or Melbourne. People have more time and are more relaxed with nicer weather. Transport system is good. You can take a day or night cruise along the broad meanderering Brisbane river. The city is modern but has still some big old buildings that are a little uncoordinated and a bit of a confused mish mash. Nevertheless worth a look and not unsightly. Nice subtropical gardens to appreciate the lush foliage. The Breakfast Creek Hotel is worth a visit. Still has its character, ambience and relaxed charm. No brutal modern makeovers thank goodness. Old parts preserved with tradition and history all nicely preserved. Brisbane is and has grown quickly and I don’t like these ugly high rise apartments all over the place. The beautiful suburbs with well kept and maintained Queenslander homes are now under threat from rampant high rise apartment development. Come and enjoy Brisbane now, while it still has its culture and relaxed atmosphere. Sadly, in 20 years it will be just another souless concrete jungle.
Noosa is our favourite beach getaway in Queensland. We stay there at least once a year. The beaches in Noosa and the surrounding national park cater for a variety of activities or you can just chill out. Love the varied environment as there’s always a place to escape whether it be the beautiful national park, the river, parkland or shops and restaurants. Something for all our family.
Beautiful town with great views. I like to call it the food capital of Queensland. Great coffee... and I’m from Melbourne. Great food. People a lovely and welcoming. There are so many day trips and adventures to go one. You could stay there for two weeks and not see it all.
Great ( Barista style) coffee at Dingles cafe Novus windscreens were brilliant - efficient, affordable and available in our hour of need on a Friday afternoon Lovely seeing all the old Queenslanders The booking staff at the Railway station were were so helpful before 7 am Taxi drivers so informative
Bargara
Bargara is one of a chain of beach resorts that seem to be little known outside Queensland. They have an excellent climate. particularly for a winter holiday. Pacific Sun provides the perfect 'home from home' for an extended stay. It provides all the advantages and facilities of holiday apartments at a lower cost. The new young owners provide a warm welcome, and their stated aim of adding further updates and facilities promises an even more attractive option. I will certainly return.
Brisbane CBD, Brisbane
YHA has the best amenities to entertain guests - chic cafe, spacious lobby area, humongous & open dining areas, large & fully stocked kitchen, a dozen refrigerators, a rooftop pool & bar with the best view of the City & River, what more could one ask!!!! The cleanest hostel I’ve ever stayed in Queensland!!! The best part - amazing staff - from the reception to the kitchen to housekeeping to the cafe!!!! Thank you soooo much for the best stay in Queensland!!!!
Ipswich
Great place to stay for a night or two if you're doing events at Queensland raceway. The studio apartment is great for a solo or couple, plenty of room and enough amenities, bathroom is decently sized as well. Had no issues with parking, staff were very kind and gave me clear directions to my room, also got a free macron so definitely not complaining.
Airlie Beach
Excellent view and very clean, well maintained and decorated. The fridge and dishwasher was extremely handy to have when on holiday. Efficiently air conditioned space exactly what you need in North Queensland. Very friendly staff and very nice environment with great facilities for guests, nice quiet get away if your looking for a safe haven in Airlie.
Rockhampton
Lovely, large, clean hotel room in a quiet location. Off street parking. Owner met us on-site to hand over keys after our late booking (booked 30mins prior to arrival). There is a cafe downstairs but we left before it opened. Hotel a short 5min walk away for an evening meal plus several Asian restaurants. Surrounded by old Queenslander homes.
Townsville
It was a really nice old bed & breakfast. We got their Best breakfast during our stay in Australia. Also we got perfect Informations regarding our visit of Magnetic Island and they drove us to the ferry. On top they Spike czech and my wife could talk in her mother tongue. So far our best accomodation in Queensland.
Townsville
As profoundly deaf, I used my visual perception and I could not see any fault at all - everything was there as expected upon arrival. Once again thanks for your excellent hospitality. I may come again if NRLW would arrange AMPOL Women State of Origin at Queensland County Bank Stadium next year without hesitation.
Alexandra Headland
Great place for a break away in the sunshine. Lovely comforable apartment with views of Alexandra Headland and beaches further up the coast ... added bonus of there being a nippers surf lifesaver Saturday carnival on for us to watch. You can't beat the beaches of Queensland, just amazingly beautiful.
Oak Beach
Fantastic 2 night stay in Oak Beach. Richard couldn’t have been friendlier and he and Marti have thought of every little detail to make your stay the best possible. Beautiful setting, spotless apartment and a good location to base yourself for far North Queensland (with a car).
Cape Tribulation
Beautiful tropical location, outdoor restaurant, beach is spectacular even if you can't swim because os crocs and stingers. The Daintree region is a must when visiting Queensland. The room was spacious with several beds and the hotel supplied a crib for my granddaughter.
South Brisbane, Brisbane
The staff were very helpful and the apartments were clean and well-appointed. The hotel's in a great location – it's a ten-minute walk from the Queensland Children's Hospital (where our son was being treated), South Bank train station, and shops.
Palm Cove
The Drift Palm Cove resort is a lovely property with one of the nicest freeform swimming pools in North Queensland. The resort is perfectly located to the south end of the Palm Cove beach esplanade. We will be returning.
Golden Beach, Caloundra
Great location, nice to have pool and breakfast included, we were able to use the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. nice room, comfortable bed. Great spot to visit the australia zoo and the queensland air museum.
Bongaree
Very Happy with the Apartment. Parking just a little tight when parking a bigger car. Fan in ensuite didn't seem to work too well. Would certainly book these apartments again, next time I am in Queensland.
Gladstone
Great location. Very clean. Helpful staff. Very comfortable apartment. Great value for money. Gladstone and the beach areas are hidden gems of central Queensland. Will definitely be coming back.
Bundaberg
It was a nice simple hotel room, everything I've come to expect from central Queensland to be honest, nice facilities, nice bed, was a nice get away for my Partner son and
Port Douglas
Great location and beautiful, Queenslander style rooms. Surprisingly quiet, considering the hotel is right in the centre of town and surrounded by pubs and restaurants.
Port Douglas
The Queenslander is well situated in a quiet road, and is an easy easy walk away from Macrossan Street. The apartment was spacious, and the bed was comfortable.
Convenient location in Brisbane to go and see a show. I love the detail and art works that the Hotel has used in its design to honour all things Queensland.
Goondiwindi
Love the location... right in the main street with great meals available from the Queensland Hotel which is very close. Very clean with comfortable bed.
