My staying at Rate Studio 5 mins to Water in Elliot Lake, Ontario between May 14- May 17, 2024 was awful. After I booked this place via BOOKING.COM I wrote a special request about late arrival. I got an a letter from Ray who asked me to confirm my arrival via text message a day before coming that what I did. On the day of the arrival no one meet me, I was not able to enter to my booked accomodation, Ray did not answer the phone. I called OPP thinking that either something wrong with owner or it is fake booking. OPP found Ray , gave me a code to for key and after 2 h arrival I was able to enter my booked accomodation. I also email to BOOKING.COM but up till now I stil have not received any respond. On May 16 Ray came and stated that that I have to leave the place because as per Ray my check out on May 16. I showed that my booking time from May 14 to May 17, 2024, and he left me along. It was my first time experience to book a private accommodation instead of hotel, and I think I wound never do again.

We were just there for a short time for a medical procedure, but everyone we met was helpful and friendly. The hospital team was amazing! The accommodation was lovely. We felt very well treated. I've been to Elliot Lake before in the summer and can tell you that the scenery and geology are beautiful and fascinating. There are also great art opportunities in the fall.
