Hacienda Las Cuevas Terra Lodge, hotel in Papallacta

Located in Pifo, 19 miles from El Ejido Park, Hacienda Las Cuevas Terra Lodge provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace.

Everything about this location was amazing. It has a great history, offers great comfort, delicious food, and with excellent staff running the operation. The room was perfect with all the necessities, it was very clean, and had an excellent hot shower. The grounds offer many places to walk, meditate or just chill. We selected and paid extra for the beer and Chocolate pairing which was hosted by Chef Manuel Aguirre, who is very knowledgeable, very pleasant, and based on the meals which he prepared for us, an excellent chef. We paid for the optional dual waterfall tour with Rodrigo on check out morning, which was very interesting and which made for excellent photos. Overall, from check-in to check-out, this was an amazing experience.

Breakfast has fruit, juices, coffee and much more than you...

Breakfast has fruit, juices, coffee and much more than you expect, but the food served in restaurant must be improve, in quantity and variety. The cabins are so expensive for the accommodation which provide, specially, the tiny and small beds in the second floor, with out any other simple and cheap furniture to store your clothes. Bat towels are older, needs to be replace and improve these quality, if you are paying for a luxury hotel spa in Papallacta area.

A great place to visit if you're in Ecuador - some brilliant walks around the area (although be prepared for cold, wet weather in high altitude!). Thermal baths are a great place to relax, though do get busy on weekends and public holidays.

We visited Papallacta primarily to visit the baths fed by the hot springs inside the ‘Termos de Papallacta’ resort. There is a hotel inside the resort, but it’s very expensive. Mamallacta is a wonderful alternative as it is located just a few minutes walk from the entrance to the resort and is a great deal more affordable. Additionally we found Mamallacta Lodge to be comfortable and clean. The food was good, and the quality of service offered by the staff was exceptional.

it was beautiful - an artist has taken recycled materials and created a place of fun and unique beauty. The staff were very helpful. The rooms were clean and well laid out. My shower was delightful - great water pressure and so lovely to shower within a stained glass wall! The dining area was a pleasure to sit in and enjoy yourself. Also, the hotel is so easy to walk the thermal springs - we stayed and watched the sunset from the baths before a short walk home.

More than the pics online can say, Mamallacta is filled with tons of details that make the difference! This is far from being "just a hotel"!. You see the care of his owner, Jonathan, for his place. The hotel is perfectly located to go enjoy the thermal pools (5min walk away). Jonathan also shared information on the current situation in Ecuador so the whole experience was just wonderful. One of the best dinners I had in Ecuador and... artesanal beers! BRAVO!

The rooms are very comfortable. Opt for one with a fireplace. They stoke and light the fireplace just before retiring for the night. The restaurant has excellent food options and beer +liquor is also available. Everything is reasonably priced. There are several pools, all with varying temperatures. The atmosphere at this hotel is perfect for a quiet getaway. The property offers secure parking, good wifi throughout, and good quality linens and towels.

I saw some negative complaints, which I don't understand. I have no negative complaints. Sure it is a budget hotel, if you want 5 stars, pay 150 a night up the street. It's an extremely good budget hotel, very cheap. The staff was wonderful. Stayed up past midnight to greet me from my late flight. Got up early to make sure my taxi arrived on time foe my early flight. Very close to the banos, two

It is the best option for staying in Papallacta and enjoying the hot springs. Quality of service in this hotel is really something different and very much worth its price. If you have such possibility - book a room with a fireplace and order a bottle of wine for the evening :) One of the most memorable experiences we have had during our trip to Ecuador.

Excellent price including a good breakfast. Very close to the hot springs and they had a reduced price for that too, although we found a better price because we are seniors. It was unusually cold when we were there and we were grateful for the heater in the room. Loved seeing the lamas on the property. It was a good stay

The hotel is very near to the entrance of the thermen. The people working here are super helpful: you can also buy a ticket in the hotel with 1$ discount, they have a fast laundry service, and we were able to get dinner even though we arrived late in the evening. Very happy overall!!
