The old town is just gorgeous.
The old town is just gorgeous. It’s like stepping back in time. It’s very walkable. Lots of nice restaurants and shops. There are lots of small museums and there are small sections of the city wall open to the public. Just outside the old town there are several small shopping centres too. The parking system is not working well.
The parking system is not working well. We visited the museum (maritime museum). It was written that parking is free for 4 hours for museum visitors. We entered our car's license plate into the museum's computer, but an hour later we received a €40 fine. Tallinn is a lovely city to visit. Clean, tidy and with plenty of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. Getting around the city is very easy due to the cheap and plentiful buses and trams. The Old Town centre of Tallinn is filled with a good mix of shops, bars, eateries and historical sites and walking round, day or night, feels relaxed and safe. It's easy to get around in Tallinn, whether by public transport or using bicycle or scooter sharing, or simply walking. The town has quite a few interesting restaurants, bars, and cafes, as well as historical sights, museums, nice views of the sea, and cute local shops.
