Our time at Cafour House is the number one holiday I've had so far. As we arrived, Abdu and Nora (the owners) were helping and showed us around. Their kindness, communication and hospitality is waaay more than the expected, we really could enjoy the time here without any problem.
We had traditional egyptian breakfast, and also had lunch and dinner here for a very reasonble price. All meals were quite big portions, and tasted very well, thanks to the kitchen staff!:)
The hot spring is very nurturing, you can literally see the stars from the tub at night. One of my favourite.
The location is a bit far from the city centre, but you can experience real silence and peace here without and disturbing sounds.
The centre of Siwa city is a 15 min ride by tuktuk, for a very reasonable price. Abdu and Nora also helped us with the programmes, we tried desert safari (100%worth it) and we visited the Salt Lakes, the Cleopatra Spring, the Oracle Temple, the Amun Temple and watched the sunset on a nice spot with Hakam. He is an excellent tour guide, he knows a lot about this mysterious little city. I can fully recommend to ask him for guiding.
It's hard to summon the whole experience in one single sentence, but i'll try:
I will definitely come back:)
Greetings and hugs from 2 hungarian traveler

A beautiful green lake sits among this ocean of yellow sand, but Siwa has more than just breathtaking sceneries, it carries a culture of its own; local habitants of Siwa actually speaks their own language, which is more like the language spoken by the Berber (desert people from further west), than the Egyptian Arabic spoken in the rest of Egypt.

Visit Siwa if you are looking for history and nature.
Visit Siwa if you are looking for history and nature. The Mountain of the dead and The Temple of the Oracle are must see sites. Take the desert safari to explore the desert, ride around sand dunes, see an oasis, visit a hot spring. Nice!

Siwa is on of hidden Gems globally, it takes 7 hours by car from Cairo the Capital, Enjoy the nature in every single thing, starting from morning, enjoy a traditional Bedouin breakfast, Safari in western desert with local guide, sand surfing, and Tea on fire, ending it up with midnight camping on middle of nowhere,
Second day, the salt lakes where it heal your skin burns or scars, do it carefully and don't put your eyes into the water, Never. Ending up in Cleopatra spring to wash up all your sins, ;)
Third day, have a round in old Siwa, enjoying Abdo Rest. eating local food and shop around for pure healthy herbs.

There is little to do here.
There is little to do here. Two mediocre archaeological sites, one spring (Cleopatra pool). Only one restaurant. The fresh water lake has no real access. The salt lake is a long drive to where you can swim in rectangular mined areas.
It might be ok for people who want to hang out in their hotel beside a pool and do nothing. Flies everywhere and bad mosquitoes at dusk and dawn.

Everyone deserves a trip to Siwa.
Everyone deserves a trip to Siwa. I know the road there and back may dissuade you but it is entirely worth your time. In fact, I would dare say you NEED to come here. Here you will experience a different culture than the hustle and bustle of Cairo and Luxor. There is plenty going on here but it is much less crowded and much more peaceful. The Siwa Salt Lakes are a must-see experience. There is something almost other-worldly in the air here, especially coming from the busy streets of more densely populated Egyptian cities. Just a few days here in the middle of your trip and you will feel ready to tackle the rest of your Egyptian cities. Missing this place and all the tuktuk rides so much!
It was a magical stay! The one bedroom cottage give you an authentic Siwa feel. The room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. There's also a small sit out area outside which was perfect. But the most special part was Mr Ahmed...what an amazing hospitable gentleman. He was there to welcome us at 6 am with a warm smile and during our stay made sure that we were very comfortable. He went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable trip. His team made us delicious meals too!
Book this room if you are looking for a special place.
The staff and the food and the peace of the place filled our hearts. We were welcomed so much that even after 2 days there it felt like home. The hosts at the hotel invited us to visit places across Siwa and helped us to organise external trips. The breakfast was huge and delicious and we were catered throughout the day too! It is a beautiful place, the room was large and quiet and decorated with traditional Siwa materials. Even better, it is even possible that Alexander the Great is buried underneath the house....
The place is fantastic. The rooftop is the perfect place to see the old Siwa area; it has the best view to see the sunset and sunrise as well.
The staff Amir was suuuper helpful, very kind, and friendly. His breakfast, especially the Egyptian foul, was lovely. Also, he makes a good massage; if you need it you can ask for it!
It’s located nearby the bus station close to the center as well. From many sides, overall, it was an enjoyable experience, and I highly recommend this place for others to stay.
Had such a an amazing stay with Abdalla. He is extremely welcoming and hospitable. He instantly makes the place feel like your home. He’s very social and is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. this place felt more like a hotel, with only two beds in the dorm, the other bed being unoccupied during my stay. It is very clean, there’s a kitchen you can use and he makes you a delicious breakfast every morning. I am so happy I got to stay here.
We had an amazing stay at WAFLA. Ahmed is very knowledgeable about the area and he was incredibly helpful with tours and transportation. He went above an beyond to give us a great time in Siwa. The rest of the staff were also very friendly and the chef cooked us delicious breakfasts and made us a dinner on request. The room was clean and comfortable and the whole site was beautifully decorated. Truly couldn’t recommend it enough. Thank you Ahmed!
Albabenshal is conveniently located in the center of Siwa below the old fortress. It is a 5 minute walk from the bus station. The design of the lodge has been done well with simplicity and using local resources to create an inviting, unique and restful place to stay. The staff are welcoming and accommodating from room arrangements to helping us arrange outings on the day of. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Siwa.
Friendos house is a great get away from the city noises and perfectly located between dessert and farms. It offers a private hot spring and a family vibe. It's typical siwa style, simple and quiet. Enjoying chilled time by the fire under the stars. As a solo traveler it's great as you can have a private or shared room for a reasonable price.. Thank you
We had such a lovely time during our stay in Siwa thanks to Youssef from the Siwa Shali resort. He really took care of our group of friends, made us feel at home, shared recommendations on where to go, organized an awesome night safari for us. It was truly a memorable experience. If we visit Siwa again, we would definitely stay here again
The best thing in the hotel, it was the amazing view of the whole Siwa Oasis form the roof (breakfast place also). The owner of the hotel (his name Ali) was friendly and we have amazing conversation with him. I will suggest the upcoming guest to plan the safari trip with Ali since you will have fantastic time.
It was so comfortable, easy to reach very close to the center and Shali (the old city of Siwa) .. it was clean and the Staff was so good and helpful.. Actually you feel like you are home.. there were some other traveller. We had a good time together..
It is Highly recommended
The staff is great. Property is very well managed. The prices are clear and the dinner (charged extra) is good value for money and tasty. The siwa juice is the best I have had.
Special shout out to Hakam, Nina, Abby for making the stay super memorable.
A wonderful hotel to watch the sunset or sunrise. It is an island followed by a number of islands, especially the island of the old houses, for which the hotel organizes a cruise to watch the sunset and enjoy Siwi tea (Zarda) and eat peanuts
Magnificent experience in a great island by siwa lake, delicious breakfast, friendly host warm and clean rooms with extraordinary trips in siwa. Good for solo girls/travellers and big groups.
Amazing sunset and sunrise views
Amany was really kind with us, she helped us a lot, with the excursions and the place that we can visit in Siwa. the property is a big place in nature so you can stay relaxed
thank you very much Amany we’ll miss you
Lovely, modern, spacious room. Great location in the heart of Siwa. Situated in the old part of town, the rooftop of the hotel has an amazing view of the old, as well as the new town. Staff was kind and accomodating.
This is my third time at Olive Garden Siwa. It is an amazing ecolodge with wonderful services and staff. Additionally, the new eco-friendly units facing the fresh water pool are unique and relaxing.
Stunning location, lovely atmosphere, the staff were helpful. The hotel bungalows are surrounded by the lake and the views are gorgeous in each direction. Rooms are a great size, nice and bright.
