Location was excellent, room was clean and comfortable. I arrived in Zarauz on a busy weekend without a reservation but the staff was able to accommodate me with a room. I was thankful for this maybe not the best room but it fit the bill with the price. Nice place close to beach and places to eat I would stay there again.

Hotel Itxas Gain overlooks the Cantabrico Sea. Centrally located close to everything in this lovely Basque fishing village only a daytrip to Donostia-San Sebastian. The staff were wonderfully hospitable and we discovered many local treasures with their help. The 'streetside grilled fish' and local wine gives this area such a great reputation. Lots of cute bars with fresh pinchos (Basque tapas) – Txakoli are fun to order at pintxos bars which is poured high above the glass. We had the great fortune to visit the wooden maritime themed San Salvador Church during choir practice and enjoyed hearing their complex choral arrangements sung in the Basque language. We loved being able to walk along the port and see all the fishing boats bring their fresh catch ashore – straight to the restaurants. Such a happy-energy town!

Lovely decor. Offers a delicious breakfast with a impressive presentation. Dining area and upper levels have a nice expensive view. The staff were very kind and attentive.

Beautiful, extremely comfortable exquisite, small, only six rooms. Breakfast was amazing eggs, eat cheeses, cereals, fresh squeeze juice, and sweet all homemade. Beautiful out my window vineyards . Town is amazing and only a 10 minute walk away.
