The hot swimming pool was fabulous! (But only open from 12-8 so can’t use it in the morning before leaving)

Great location on the Camiño. Staff was very friendly and informative. Bed extremely comfortable. The shower was glorious. Couldn’t have asked for more.

Located right off the Camino, pleasant proprietor who gave us delicious chickpea soup on our arrival. The room was clean and good wifi
Caldas de Reis is a beautiful, walkable village. There is a 30-minute walk to a waterfall that I wanted to take but it was too hot that afternoon. It was too hot to take advantage of the hot pools as well. It would have been nice to stay another day here, take a rest day. The restaurants looked really nice as well.

Caldas de Reis is a regular stop-over on the Camino Portuguese. The main square with palm trees is lovely. There are cafes and you can sit there have coffee and enjoy, I only made a one night stop so can't really say much more.

We only stayed in Caldas de Reis as we were walking the Camino Portugese. We saw lots of things that'd been nice to further explore if we'd had a couple of days there....river, historic buildings etc.
What a chic and beautiful hotel! It's in a historic building but with modern touches that make it exceedingly comfortable. George was incredibly helpful, from switching my room with no questions to making sure I placed my breakfast order on time, despite the fact that it was quite busy. He always had time to answer a question, and was very fun to chat with. The location, food, and overall experience were absolutely top-notch, and it was my favorite place to stay on the entire Camino Portuguese.
The garden was beautiful and spacious. The pool was lovely to stand in at the end of the walk to cool down. It was really clean and the whole property was well maintained and well looked after. The staff were really friendly. The food was good (breakfast is included and they offer a "menu of the day" for 11€).
It was brilliant to stay outside of the next town (Caldas de Reis). It was so quiet and peaceful. The walk there was beautiful.
Very clean room, with towels which is always a bonus! Enough space to store your luggage and offered a window to let the fresh air in. Very clean and the kitchenette was perfect to make breakfast and store some food. there are two full bathrooms that can be used which helped! Elevator was great. Amazing location to explore Caldas de Reis and close to all the main attractions for the Camino de Santiago.
Mercedes and her Mother and all the staff were so kind and nice. They provided restaurant recommendations and some interesting history about the town (the map of Caldas de Reis from 1885 is very interesting). The breakfast was very tasty and set us up for a day of walking the Camino de Santiago. The hotel has a feel of luxury which was a nice treat halfway through our Camino.
the apartment was beautiful with everything you could possibly need for a short stay on the camino or longer in the beautiful caldas de reis. thank you pilar for being such a welcoming host and thank you o balcon do rio for providing us with such a comfortable resting stop. a real treat
this was my favourite hostel on the whole camino!
Isobel was wonderful and did my laundry for a fee. breakfast buffet was so good. the bunk was great, cosy, warm, private, with a shelf and plug.
the bathroom was to a hotel standard, the most powerful shower on the Camino.
Stepping off the dusty Camino in 27° heat through a magical portal of calm! A gorgeous oasis with fab garden and pool, lots of extra touches in the bedroom and a donativo drinks bar. Very friendly host and it is superior to a 4* hotel!
It is a hotel converted into an alberge so you have max four people per room with your own bathroom and shower.
I have done nine Caminos. This is the best Albergue I have been in.
And they have a Cafeteria restaurante.
Clean and cosy room. Was OK for one night. Bed was quite comfy. Nice and polite staff. Good location: supermarket in front of hotel. The hotel is on the route of Portuguese Coastal Camino. It has self-service laundry.
Very good for a one star hotel but no options for breakfast or dinnner. You can find a good restaurant on the same street and a bistro opening early in the morning for a croissant and a coffee
I could not enter the facility, nor did I get the access code to the pension so, I was left out without options and had to get a hotel myself instead. It was a very cold and windy evening!
Great very charming hotel to stay. Owners received us. Near everything you need is walking distance. They have a pool you can relax after a long day of walking. We had a great time.
Elegant and Quiet yet in town with great restaurants nearby. The owner, Victoria, is a delight. Comfortable bed and nice shower. Our favorite lodging over the past 10 days in Spain.
it has a ‘boutique hotel’ feeling of intimacy, with a lot of character, but modern rooms. A small lounge area next to reception and easy lift access to rooms.
