Hotel Los Castaños, hotel in Cartajima

Located in the middle of a small village, this boutique hotel has lots of character. You can soak up the Spanish sun on the roof terrace and refresh yourself in the paddling pool.

Cartajema is a tiny white village amongst the chestnut trees in a valley outside of Ronda. It is down a narrow curvy road. Once you arrive you will have to drive tiny narrow streets to the hotel but the town is so small you will not hit other traffic. But squeezing into the parking area was not for the faint of heart. It is the only hotel in the town and you visit for the views. It was dead quiet and had lovely views of the surrounding valley and other villages in the distance.

A beautiful small town from which to see Andalucia.

A beautiful small town from which to see Andalucia. We picked Cartajima as a "home base" and took daily road trips to see different parts of Andalucia. We ate at our hotel Los Castanos most evenings and it was delicious. Cartajima is quite small and best to see on foot.
