The bed was super comfortable. We had a triple room. Convenient outlets by each bed. Good hot shower. The building seems somewhat new with traditional Spanish style.
Hotel room was clean. Nice little balcony but could only use it to dry our clothes. Our room was western exposure and became extremely hot. Unbearable . I would not recommend this hotel to my friends. Hotel was basically empty and they could have been thoughtful enough to put us on Northern or Eastern exposure. If I had know I would have asked for the western or eastern side.

This is a fascinating town because of its length, full of surprises, its churches, its convent from where you can buy cakes and Tau crosses, its castle you can climb up to, a castle that has been renovated and is well worth a visit.
I stayed in the dormitory section and it was quite comfortable. the owners were delightful. There was an excellent bar and restaurant at the hotel and I had a wonderful pilgrim's meal that night with a delicious garlic soup and excellent entree. The hotel also had private rooms. I would definitely come back here to stay. Plus the dog at the hotel is adorable and is painted in part of the mural in the back courtyard.
Brand new boutique hotel, build on the grounds of the ruins of a convent. The facility and rooms are completely modern and very casual chic. Large grounds behind the hotel, there is a restaurant, which I did not try but the menu sounded quite interesting. They have a self serve mini snacks, wine and beer alcove. A very tranquil and beautiful stay, highly recommended.
Great place! Lovely clean and spacious room (much bigger in real life than it looks in my picture) with modern bathroom with good water pressure. The host was super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
The hotel is centrally located and also has a restaurant and laundry machine making it a great one stop shop on the Camino.
we loved this little inn! very good value, extremely friendly reception from the new owner, nice facilities. food and drink available at the bar downstairs. directly across from the colegiata church whose museum holds some very fine religious art and a gorgeous retablo. highly recommended over the other options in Castrojeriz.
Very comfortable and well placed beside the church where the camino enters Castrojeriz. Above all a great atmosphere around and after the communal meal. A lively bar in the ancient hostal next door adds to the experience of this beautiful and new hostal. Excellent rooms with views.
A beautifully curated hotel!
The staff were welcoming and served us so kindly -- from welcoming us, to drinks on the terrace, to washing our laundry in a timely manner.
The breakfast the next morning was delicious in the beautiful dining room as we took in the vistas of Castrojeriz!
Located right at the end of Castrojeriz, Rosalia is a great pilgrim hostel to mingle with other pilgrims. It doesn't take long for Rosalia fill up. I enjoy my stay here. Javier is a great host and the breakfast was perfect for the next day's walk!
El Manzano is a good place for pilgrims to stay. It is conviniently located on el Camino right next to the beautiful Manzano church. As the center of Castrojeriz is appr 1,5 km away, it was nice that the hotel offered pizzas for dinner.
Staff was really welcoming and attentive. Lots of hot water and water pressure was excellent. I reaoliked the hotel had a bar and restaurant onsite. The staff, however, is what made it a very nice stay.
