La Cristina is a little treasure of a place. The place is situated on a beautiful hill and the views are spectacular! Felt like a dream. The place was immaculate. Felt very welcomed. Thank you sooo much Cristina. Will definitely come back.

The north of Spain is rightfully considered a gastronomic wonder zone. We enjoyed a lot of local produce, procured for us by Jesus, who is a it of a whizz around the kitchen. He even took us to the sheep farmer across the way who makes sheep milk cheese of the finest quality. We enjoyed a lot of the local wine, especially Txakoli. There are no shops in Gaztelu, but Tolosa is only a short drive away (15mins). We day tripped to San Sebastian, Pamplona, Zarautz and Bilbao. And the Basque countryside in late spring is just simply gorgeous.
