Beautiful, unique property with lots of history and rustic charm and a peaceful location. Large rooms and comfortable beds and an amazing, abundant breakfast served by friendly and attentive staff (special thanks to Barbara!) with the option to have a romantic dinner there as well. Nice little bonus: rooms had some of the nicest personal care products I've experienced in a hotel!
Set in Máguez in the Lanzarote Region, 19 mi from Puerto del Carmen, Casa Rural "La Molina" features a barbecue and a terrace with a hot tub and views of the mountains.

I went with only a bicycle so didn't travel far, usually less than 20 miles in one direction. Tabayesco is on a major cycling road, and there are many cyclists on the various roads every day. The roads generally have a decent paved shoulder, and there are some roads dedicated as being primarily for cyclists. The reason I think 4 weeks was a bit long is that riding the same roads got a bit boring. The scenery on the island is all rocks, so not that stimulating. What's good is the plentiful small towns which all have cafes offering espresso for $1 Euro.

If like us you want a relaxing break with an authentic Spanish feel then this is the place. The apartment offered everything that we could have wanted plus much more. The location was quiet and scenic just off the main road so we were able to explore the north of the island. The host was wonderful and told us about the fish restaurant down on the beach where we ended up eating every day as the food, service, and price were magnificent. I have stayed in many apartments but this was by far the best. I would rate higher than 10 if i could, the attention to detail was immaculate!

If you are not a fan of crowded resorts and being hassled into bars & restaurants then Tabayesco is the ideal location. A 15/20 minute walk to bars restaurants & a supermarket in Arrieta. A 20/25 minute walk into Mala where there are a few more restaurants, Also for mountain bikers the trails start in and around Tabayesco. Be ready to grind up the hills, but totally worth the effort for the amazing scenery.

I loved Tabayesco the same way as I love the whole island.
I loved Tabayesco the same way as I love the whole island. This was my 4th stay and I haven´t got enough of it yet. Will go there again for sure. So many amazing things to see, from beaches - gold and dark - to volcanos, views, charcones - natural pools, gardens, houses, stones :D Even the tourist attractions are more than amazing (Jameos del Agua especially!) I think Lanzarote is for the people who love nature by heart and are able to see even those little things which make life beautiful.

About one kilometre from the beach and another 500m to the small seaside town of Arrieta, Tabayesco is a nice little hamlet of houses leading up a valley. The road to the top of the valley - and great views back down - is cut off to cars but OK for bikes and walkers. The fact that it is effectively a cul de sac makes it pleasantly quiet.

A quiet beauty, close to good beach and restaurants and small village of Arriette. It is better if you have a car, because distances are long - it is a good long walk to beach - can be nice - but also good to have a choice if you have a car! Buses available on main road to other places of interest, but not very frequent.
