Good clean room. Great location. The associated restaurant is vegetarian with distinct healthy eating vibe which may not be to everyone's taste

Location was great, in a small hamlet with the restaurant above. Restaurant was closed when we got there, but we were able to walk right down the street to another place for dinner. Gorgeous views of the sunset. Room was clean and tidy, good deal for the price.
I have been here several times. It's a great place for a winter escape. Once you've got the boat over from Tenerife, you get round the island by bus, taxi or boat, and it's away from the crowds. Good place to go if you like hiking, and just as good if you prefer to potter about. You're never that far from the beach. Mountains behind you and the sea in front of you. Watching the sunset each evening over the sea is a "thing". Good places to eat and drink. Love it here.

It's a lovely peaceful, chilled out little town.
It's a lovely peaceful, chilled out little town. Lovely beach and has a super arty, hippy vibe. A few great little shops but nothing too commercialised. I only stayed 1 night but 3 or 4 in good weather would have been lovely too. You can walk around the whole place.
There are buses serving the town from Vallehermoso and San Sebastian and the airport. They are very cheap and reliable.

Stunning views of mountains, sea views and views of the other canary islands. Good selection of beaches. Good choice of bars and restaurants, some music and entertainment in local venues. A few buses a day to get to the trails and back to San Sebastian. Difficult to work out the bus times at the stops in-between. (I would have liked more information on how the buses link up to trails and information on local moderate walks for newbie walkers who are not very confident!) but the views from the trails are awesome! If i came again i would sign up to some organised walks. But for experienced and confident hikers the trails are very clearly marked.

Valle Gran Rey on the island of La Gomera is a wonderful destination. It is not a crowded or over developed resort. There are some spectacular, if challenging, walks with amazing views. The climate is good in the Winter although the wind can be strong at times. There is a protected bay suitable for swimming when the Atlantic waves are too high elsewhere and a really lovely safe 'Baby Beach' suitable for young children. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants. Valle Gran Rey is a little difficult to get to (flight to Tenerife, fast ferry to San Sebastian and then either a bus or hire car over the mountains or second ferry along the coast, but that keeps it nice and quiet! This was my twelfth visit to the island and people do return year after year.

Valle Gran Rey is a beautiful area with beaches, safe swimming areas, good restaurants & cafes. Boat trips are available from the harbour @ Vueltas. A lovely long promenade passing through all the areas which make up Valle Gran Rey's coastal areas.
We arrived early and were able to leave our bags to walk around the town, apartment keys were available a little earlier than the receptionist had first said which was good.
Spacious apartment in lower floor with a balcony looking out to one side of the beach.
Good shower, twin beds together were large and plenty of room in wardrobe .
Two tables, we had our meals with balcony doors slightly open , it was February so cool after 5pm
Pool was fresh ! (Cold) but clean.
- communcation with the host (fast respond, helpful)
- size of the apartament
- localization (2 minutes from the main beach), around many restaurants but hidden so it was quiet
- large terrace with a shower (very helpful when you get back from the beach)
- change of sheets, towels etc. every 3 days
- amazing view on a mountains and a village
- you can hear the relaxing sound of the waves even when we had the room on the opposite side of the builidng
Great view 360 degrees from the roof terrace to sea (including sunset), cliffs, valley and other houses on steep hill. It is fine for travellers, backpackers and hikers who use to sleep in hostels but not too suitable for typical hotel tourists requiring comfort, modern facilities, 24 hours attention from staff etc. Pleasant woman who runs the place (although sometimes is necessary to wait for her).
Our stay at Residencial El Llano exceeded our expectations by far.
From the very first moment until the end of our stay staff was exceptional. Our apartment was on ground floor. It was large, bright, super clean and with private garden.
Pool, parking, check in and check out - everything worked like a charm.
In case we are headed back to La Gomera we know where we are going to stay.
We enjoyed looking out over the mountains and the hotel gardens. The hotel was quiet but well located to walk around the resort and access bars and restaurants. The pool area was pleasant and the bar had a great terrace for watching the sunsets. The rooms were a reasonable size and the beds were comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, particularly Jose in the restaurant.
Casa Celia is an exceptional, spacious two Bedroom bungalow perfectly positioned in Valle Gran Rey for the beach, shops and walks. It also has a cracking garden with sensor lights for night-time. The house has all you need not just for a short period, but perfect too for a long stay in this wonderful small town in La Gomera.
What a wonderful place Pension Candelaria is in beautiful La Gomera. I loved this part of La Gomera where I felt like I was part of the community, there’s few tourists, it’s a hidden gem! The terrace was a delight, I spent most my evenings there watching the sunset and looking at the stars. Heaven.
1. Position, it was so close to the beach and the centre of the city.
2. Tidiness, everything was sparkling clean.
3. Amenities, you will find whatever you need in this cosy apartment
4. Kindness, Angela is always available to give you any kind of help or advice .
We will come back !! For sure
Perfectly located property in Valle Gran Rey, with easy walking access to the beach and restaurants. Comfortable for a 4-people family stay. The kitchen was reasonably equipped for a short stay. Nice terrace with a pool for after-beach hours. Overall, it was good value for the price.
This is a fantastic family hotel with a wonderful atmosphere. The location is great and we had fantastic views from our bedroom. Breakfast is a treat with fruit, marmalade etc from the owner’s garden. The staff is very friendly. Highly recommended!
It was located just across the street from the baby beach. The sunsets were beautiful. Watching all the families at the beach was great. There were lots of local restaurants with great food. The receptionist was extremely helpful.
Nice spacious apartment with great view of the valley and sea, walking distance from the beach, bus stop nearby, very well maintained green garden. Friendly and very helpful owner.
Lovely people running this well maintained residencial complex. Spacious apartment, rather big swimming pool, wifi was solid. Number of good restaurants in the vicinity.
the accommodation was in a very lovely village with a beautiful view terrace! everything was there for a nice rest! Definitely recommend to our friends
