The host was so helpful and sweet! The breakfast was absolutely delicious and made to order; everything was garden fresh and homemade. There was a beautiful yard space where we could relax and let our son play. The room was adorable, with an updated bathroom, and the beds were really comfortable. We were traveling in a large van to move our furniture, so long distance from Austria to UK. We needed a simple place to sleep, so went with an economical option. Hotel Bal, was fine, no frills, but fine. Bed was comfy and well made, room very clean. Breakfast in the morning was simple, but again, fine. So, this is a good option if you want a reliable good bed.

The country house and grounds were exquisite! A real French country estate with orchards, flower gardens, chickens, and farm cats all over the property. The restaurant was very nice and there is a reading room with overstuffed leather chairs if you want to sit by the fire and read.
