Lovely family and dog friendly gite with enclosed garden in quiet village. This was our second visit as a family and it was even better this time. it is also just a short drive from the A5 if you are travelling through France as we were.

An excellent stay. A quiet location, yet convenient for the Autoroute. A lovely, atmospheric garden and pool. However, the most impressive aspect is the quality of the food. Julien, the host, is an exceptional chef.

Only minutes from the autoroute but far more pleasant than a motel. has a real charm to the place and you can imagine its history in years gone by.
Family room 34 was perfect. Essentially two separate rooms with their own shared lockable access hallway. Both rooms had own bathroom.
Price was excellent compared to other places we looked at to do an overnight stay whilst travelling from the South of France to North. we enjoyed a meal in the restaurant, plats du jour were about €16 each. the hotel also has a bar and a little shop
Family of 13 ranging from 2yrs to 66. We loved this hotel. We only stayed for one night on route.
For us this was the real deal. Fairly basic, clean and comfortable ozing character and very wonderfully french.
We enjoyed a very satisfactory dinner and breakfast was delicious - not one crumb left.
The most exciting surprise was that we were right next to Clairvaux prison with its amzing history and some very interesting inmates!
Hotel in the small village of Clairvaux close to the Abbey of Clairvaux founded by St. Bernard. It is 5 to 10 minutes walk to the abbey and about 2 km to St. Bernard fountain in the woods. There is a bus stop where I came from the train station of Bar-sur-Aube and departed to Chaumont. The hotel has its own restaurant where I had dinner with very good food and nice staff. The room was good and quiet. Wifi good.
Nice simple hotel in convenient location near autoroute access. Comfortable room. Hotel adjacent to a quite busy road, but this quietened in the evening and night. Nice restaurant on site with good food. Breakfast was extra cost but not expensive and was good value. Staff very friendly. Good parking.
Easy stopover in a quiet location close to the autoroute where we felt safe. Restaurant at the hotel was friendly serving a tasty set menu for 13 euros (2 courses). Tea and coffee in the rooms which was a bonus. Helpful staff.
Charming hotel with lots of character. Good food, pleasant friendly staff and owners. Nice bar and a little shop selling local produce including Champagne. I’m looking forward to my next visit!
Nicely situated hotel with a lovely bar and restaurant. Very friendly and very helpful landlady. I very much enjoyed my stay and especially the delicious cauliflower cheese!
