Located on Saint-James’ Way and set in an old property, Le Compostelle offers a terrace and rooms with attached bathroom with a flat-screen, satellite TV.

The location is good. Convenient for the village & the Basilica. The building structure is attractive, it needs to be more eye catching & brightening up. Paint, pots of plants. The bed was fine, clean white sheets & comfortable. There is a lack of surfaces & hooks in the bathroom. Difficulty in finding space to put toiletries & no hooks to hang even a shower cap on. Provided by myself. The room rate is very acceptable but it does lack user friendly facilities. The chamber maid/housekeeper does a good job. The reception area could do with more effort in regard to customer service. This may serve student guests but the approach for older categories needs a bit of polishing up.

We came to the area to attend a classical music festival in Vézalay so spent little time in Domecy-sur-Cur. There was a small village church of interest and there appeared to be a way to walk along the river. We would need to return and stay longer for a proper review.
