the extensive continental breakfast was excellent with a variety of homemade jams and fresh breads or croissant, elegantly served.
The coffee and orange juice were delicious too .
We loved having the private room, washroom and bathroom as well as a reading area.
The hosts made us feel at home and were very kind and informative about touring the area.
There is a beautiful swimming pool.

This was a reasonable place to stay just outside the old city center. There was free parking nearby, our room was comfortable, and -- because the restaurant below us was closed -- it was quiet. We did not have the breakfast, so cannot comment on its quality. We liked looking out on the river.

First of all, location, right as you get into town via auto or hiking the Chemin St Jacques. On the River Lot. You are greeted by a smiling hostess who is fluent in English and who has been the proprietor for 7 years. She is the figure-head, Cookie is the true greeter. They adopted him 2 years ago at dog rescue. He takes his role seriously. He is short-haired dark brown & black lab and hunting dog mix, with a right ear that telegraphs his emotions and interests. Nothing is better than when his male human parent shows up after work to take Cookie for a walk.
