Hotels near Quessoy

There are two hotels opposite each other (approx 20 metres apart) - IBIS and IBIS budget. I booked the IBIS budget (although I had not realised there was a choice to book the other one - and I have no idea what the differences are). Check in was easy, computerised with an English language option. There was a receptionist (I did not see her until after I had checked in with the computer) who advised me that breakfast was only available from the other hotel because I had not booked in advance. Hardly a great hardship to walk across the road. The room was clean, warm and quiet. Good value for money. Signposting from the main road was excellent too.

My husband & I absolutely LOVED the location and accommodations at Francia's place. She has a lovely and surprisingly large piece of property that is filled with beautiful flowers, trees & many adorable bantam chickens, which give the most wonderful eggs! Francia was around to ensure we were well stocked and fed us her excellent crepes every morning, along with bread, homemade jam and coffee/tea, which was very much appreciated. The facility was actually a house that is divided, with the 2nd story housing a student who lives there. The downstairs, where we stayed, has 2 bedrooms, a full kitchen, dining & living room. You share common spaces (or at least the kitchen part) and have keys to lock whichever bedroom you take. The student was gone during our stay, & there were no other guests so we had the place to ourselves. The back bedroom is a queen sized bed and window view of Francia's beautiful home next door. The front bedroom has 2 twin beds, is full of light/sunshine and has french doors that open to her garden in the front of the house facing the street. She lives in a really beautiful neighborhood that is not yet fully developed, so there's still a lot of open green spaces in this small community. We chose the 1 bed room and it was very comfortable. There is a table and chairs on a secluded back porch next to the private entrance into the home. We took a train to get there and arrived in Saint Brieuc, which is perhaps 4 kilometers away. We'd brought our bicycles and rode the final distance to her place and once you know the way, it's perhaps a 10 minute ride. You pass numerous stores/super markets & have many choices for shopping. There are several garages & ample space to park so that was really nice. Both Sant Brieuc and Langueux are lovely towns and it's very easy to get to the sea, especially if you have a car.
