The house is big, very recently renovated with great taste. Rooms are big, comfy, full of light and spotlessly clean. Vanessa is a great host and a great cook. We had amazing breakfasts, a dinner with local products and home made gourmet dessert, and a picnic basket: all excellent. The location is super quiet, immersed in nature, with breathing views of the countryside

For context. We are a family of five Canadians that are well travelled and have stayed in many different types of accommodations in many different counties.
Great Owners: The owners of this property are fantastic. From the moment we were greeted, to the moment we left we felt welcomed and comfortable. They spoke to our children in French (our daughters attend a French language school) and the English only parents in English.
Location: This was a beautiful rustic rural property. It’s located a relatively short drive from the landing beaches and the drive between Le Vivier and Bayeux/Caen/Juno Beach, Omaha Beach…. is beautiful.
Suites: The suites are, clean, very large and easily accommodated our family of five (including three young children 9, 7, 5). They were free to roam and freely made use of the trampoline, pool and a small swing set.
Food: The meals were incredible (and huge) and reasonably priced. Having our breakfast and most of our dinners served to our dining table took the pressure of having to structure our day around restaurants.

This place was truly exceptional. When we drove up, it felt like something out of a fairy tale - the estate, the grounds, the gardens, the (very well behaved) 4 footed greeting party. The winding forest path you drive down to reach the main house is carpeted with these delicate pink violets. It was amazing.
Our room was HUGE. It looked out over the gorgeous back of the property and to the farmers fields beyond.
The bed and linens were very comfortable and the bathroom was large, recently remodeled and very modern. The style of the whole place had a beautiful, comfortable curated feel about it. The whole house felt filled with light.
The breakfast could be taken in the dining room or outside on the huge terrace. The European style breakfast was plentiful - with several different kinds of bread and pastries and multiple types of jams/marmalades. The coffee was really good.
The hosts, Laurent and Christine could not have possibly been more hospitable. For us, they were the very best part of our stay. Charming and friendly, they made us feel very welcome and we cannot wait to come back.
This place was a GREAT value for our money.
