We tried to find something rural, so this is exactly fulfilling our demands. We also appreciated close proximity to Bayeux, even though we didn't use bikes to go there as originally planned, due to a rather tight schedule of our Normandy visit.
In fact, we made two bike trips during our stay - the first one was Normandy Suisse from Caen southwards using the bike path on the abandoned railway. Second, we ran by train to Caen and by bike back along the invasion Beaches back to Vaucelles. Finally Bayeux on foot and a later car trip to Omaha beaches. There was a lot to see all around and after three weeks spent in Brittany, we found a bit different culture, architecture, and history.
