Ardingly is located in a lovely part of the country, loads of walks around the area & if, like us, you visiting National Trust properties there are several in easy reach, we managed to visit 4 & 1 not NT in 3 days. A little further is the south coast with its plethora of attractions. When driving around you get spectacular views of the area, well worth pulling over to take it all in. On the negative side, it can get very busy at times and the roads are quite narrow and twisting.

This is a pleasnt country inn, with friendly welcoming staff, and good basic food. Don't expect 'fine dining', but you wont pay its price either. An excellent base for many Natoinal Trust properties, with Kew/NT Wakehurst (was Wakehurst Place) and the British Wildlife Centre within five minutes by car. There is plenty of car parking space in their car park, and if it was to be full for any reason there is a public (free) car park opposite.JohnUnited Kingdom
