Plato's is a lovely boutique hotel in the interesting, historic, hilly, and beautiful old town of Kirby Lonsdale, which is perfectly situated for touring both The Lakes and The Yorkshire Dales. Our comfortable and nicely-appointed room was on the third floor and had a window seat that overlooked the street. Somewhat tucked away, the hotel was quiet, even though it was near the center of town. We appreciated the excellent breakfasts--and the pass for free parking in the nearly lot.

Lovely cottage amidst pastoral surroundings. Host stays in the property, which means it’s very nicely appointed and immaculately clean. Nice personal touches throughout the house.
Host is very welcoming and helpful, and provides a very nice and high quality breakfast, including home made juices, bread and jams from the apple and plum trees on the property.

Everything was lovely from the views to the chickens roaming free the cabin was lovely and cosey and had everything you could need josh the owner was a lovely host and was more than helpful
With wonderful views, the refurbished Capernwray House is set in 11 acres of countryside. There is free parking and free Wi-Fi in all areas.

Mel was a lovely host and gave us a warm welcome. Traveling with friends, so I was able to see both large guest rooms, they were lovely with nice bathrooms. We were able to use a table downstairs in the evening to play cards games. Breakfast was the best. We were each able to choose from a long list of items.
Yogurt, fresh berries, toast with jam, coffee and tea and delicious hot breakfast. A British brekky, or the eggs Benedict (I ordered these both mornings)nice healthy omelettes, my husband had the haddock, excellent he said. Great way to start the day! Spacious house with each bedroom having it's own bathroom. Well equipped & maintained. All on one level. Private location, which suited, but not particularly close to amenities. Transport needed - ample parking provided.
Local cafe & pubs lovely for food, Carnforth 10 mins drive for more amenities.
