Kings Arms, hotel in Bangor

Featuring a garden, bar and views of garden, Kings Arms is located in Llandysul, 14 miles from Cilgerran Castle.

The room and bed were just what I needed after a long flight from America. I was greeted warmly by staff. I enjoyed the "pub" downstaris where I met with several of the local residents and chatted for quite a while. I really appreciated the absolute quiet in my room when I woke up a couple of times during the night.

It's always a surprise to come into a smallish town that you've never heard of and then realise it has a university. Nice walking tour (the hill park in the north), the Victorian pier and partly the city itself. It has all the essentials (Asda, Lidl...) and is at a good location, almost between Snowdonia and Anglesey. We didn't check the restaurants.

    Bangor was absolutely beautiful.

Bangor was absolutely beautiful. Very different experience to the city, and the mountains were amazing. A lot of rock climbing opportunities, and some beautiful water falls if you go to snowdon national parks. Some lovely pubs/bars/cafes/local shops. Best place I’ve been to in the UK. We drove there, so travel was not an issue. Lovely scenic routes, however everyone is obsessed with over taking, for some reason. There’s roads leading to everything worth seeing. There’s a train that goes to the top of mount snowdon, but you need to book it a month-ish in advance. Would recommend Beddgelert. Lovely place. Lovely little tea rooms in the mountains. Lovely Little Stone bridge there , nice little stream, and cute shops. Looks mideival

Decent size of rooms, student accommodation, bath in excellent condition, staff very friendly! We wanted to climb Tryfan and Snowdon mountains and location was excellent, just 20 mins drive there and very close to seaside as well. Located in city centre, 2 mins walk from local pubs, Liddell just next door.
