We stayed in a family room.Price was good. The room was clean with a decent sized, nice double bed but single beds were not comfortable, view from room was nice. Great service ,nice staff at check-in-desk, very good car parking facility, A/C was not working All night, next day we checked out before 11am also there are NO phones available to call room service. Other wise we had a great time at the hotel. Definitely recommended to stay at Willows👍.

The hotel was very convenient, being at the foot of the slip road from the motorway and adjacent to a number of food and amenity shops in the service area. I was visiting and meeting up with family and friends in the Bolton area so I didn't see much of Blackburn.

The staff was very helpful, Gym was open as pandemic was over. Also had good take away service near by. The taxi service is cheap, used it all the time. I visited the Calypso Restaurant on the Wharf, which was great and and the music was very good.

The Driveway to this hotel was very dangerous with big and many potholes.
The owner was not interested in showing me the room and flung the keys across the desk.
The whole area of the hotel smelled of curry and the bedroom was dirty and not upto standard at all. The room smelt of curry.

Mostly pretty grim. 4pm Sunday, people who I guess were drug dependent hanging about. Approached by a lady begging outside the station.
Swathes of housing demolition with either no rebuild and left as derelict rubbish tips, or housing lacking ambition. Town centre dominated by one tower block. Even a brave attempt at civic pride street art on Northgate was marred by having too much clutter round it.
Cathedral is worth a visit. Evensong was about to start. King George's Hall is a good venue with a smart looking bar and restaurant. Gladstone looks over King George's Hall and Queen Victoria guards the cathedral
Overall the town seemed to have carried on with the mistakes made in the 1960's when the magnificent Victorian Italianate clock tower, and market hall, were bulldozed. Then in 2008 its replacement shopping mall was also bulldozed. The new one is better but seems to have made the decline of the surrounding shopping areas worse
The railings around Corporation Park, removed during the war, have been well replaced. And in the historically correct green, not black
The politicians spending £100 billion on HS2 and Crossrail, to the huge benefit of London, should be made to look round Blackburn on a Sunday afternoon and think again
No idea why some of the photos loaded turned themselves on their sides!
After staying at the Hampton By Hilton in York last autumn, we were very impressed with the facilities and decided to try the same group in Blackburn. The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was excellent with comfortable beds and a great shower. Everywhere was clean and well thought out. It was good to have a fridge in the room. The on-site parking was certainly an added bonus.
Very well equipped room, much better than a Premier Inn or Travelodge and nowhere near as expensive as the rates they are now charging post Covid (a colleague of mine paid £161 for a single night at a nearby Travelodge - £161 for a Travelodge!) Lots of takeaways and a supermarket nearby plus 20% off at the attached restaurant, large car park which seemed very safe.
I loved the hotel. I usually stay in premier inn but this hotel was so much better. It was so relaxing and the bar area is amazing. I wish I had been staying more than one night. The mini fridge in the room is such a bonus. It has everything you need. The bathroom was lovely. It’s one of the nicest rooms I have stayed in for a long time.
The hotel is set in lovely grounds, quite high up, very quiet & feels like a getaway. The Spa area is very nice & the hydro pool is so relaxing especially with the huge windows, being able to see the trees almost bringing the outside in. We visited in January & can imagine the outside areas are gorgeous in the summer months.
Everything about the hotel was excellent. Clean, great room, well equipped!...A special mention of thanks to Russell; (that's the English version of his real name which I cannot spell - don't want to be disrespectful! He was excellent, really professional and very helpful. Thank you fella!
Its warm , stylish and very cosy. The staff are all lovely and helpful and the food is amazing, be
it breakfast, lunch or dinner and when we had missed last orders and ordered a take out to be delivered, the staff brought out dishes and napkins etc, a hard to beat hotel.
This is a great little hotel in centre of Blackburn. Beds are clean and comfy. The young lady who on reception couldn't have been more helpful. The rooms are fitted out to a high standard and it's in a ideal location.
I always stay here when in Blackburn. It's a little bit outside the town but makes up for this in general comfort and value for money. The staff are excellent especially Keeva who was always pleasant and helpful.
Nice little Hotel in Blackburn, the beds were very comfortable and the staff are awesome. Had an amazing nights sleep, very accommodating and friendly. Will definitely return when in Blackburn.
