We had an exceptional experience staying at this wonderful accommodation, which was both pet friendly and vegan per our request. Couldn't recommend this place enough to anyone passing the area and looking for a heartwarming place to stay in Blairgowrie.
The hosts were committed to making our stay truly perfect, being incredibly friendly, lovely, and patient. Filip went above and beyond to ensure our vegan diet was well-catered for, both in terms of the delicious breakfast and the delightful treats left in our room. He was very thoughtful to quickly notifying me about some forgotten belongings and offered to send them to me asap.
The room itself was impeccably clean and fresh. It was brand new, with charming design, spotless new bathroom with a hot shower and a set of high-quality toiletries. I especially appreciated the warm drying rack for our towels.
The room was stocked with a TV, a microwave, a kettle, an impressive choice of teas, vegan sweets and nuts, which was a delightful touch. The fridge was generously filled with drinks, including smoothies and vegan milk.
Our wee dog was very welcome at the accommodation at no extra charge. The hosts went the extra mile by providing a set of dog bowls, a box of dog treats, a ball, and even some dog towels.
To top it all off, the breakfast was, without a doubt, one of the best continental breakfasts I've ever had, and it was completely vegan, including all kinds of savory and sweet delights. Had a very lovely conversation with Filip during breakfast too.
The location of the place is also perfect, being close to Reekie Linn waterfall and the Hermitage woods and trail.

A well appointed town with good large shops on the outskirts. The old town centre is a bit run down, but pleasant enough. There is a lovely walk from the town centre along the river bank. Staying in Blairgowrie gives access to attractions nearby. Everything we wanted to see was within 30 minutes drive. Not a highland town, The highlands are 30 miles north.

The Lodge is a short walking distance to all facilities in town. We had lunch at The Dome (good traditional home cooked food, excellent
cakes and coffee). Evening meals - there are Chinese, Indian and Chippy take aways which we did not try but looked busy. We had a nice meal at Little's restaurant and a cheap one in Wetherspoons which was OK. There is also Angus Hotel for meals which we've used previously.
Nice walk along the river and back into town. Easy drive to Scone to walk the Quarrymill trails and enjoy the Macmillan Cafe and Scone Arms Hotel for lunch. In Spring nice trip to see the Ospreys at Loch of Lowes and Dunkeld & Birnam.

Return to Blairgowrie after 20 years since previous visit.
Return to Blairgowrie after 20 years since previous visit. Couldn't believe the amount of new houses. Lots of changes in the centre too. The town is very central for driving out and about and there are several pubs and restaurants in the outlying district.. Would recommend The Old Cross Inn in Rattray, the Ardler Tavern and the Alyth chip shop.
Also thanks to Halfords for finding the cause of my car's slow puncture and fitting 2 new tyres.

Blairgowrie is a little sleepy town, that really benefits from the nature that surrounds it. There is a lack of quirky cafes, however you can find couple of nice restaurants nearby. Excellent location for exploring Scottish countryside.

We did not have time to explore as this was just a stopover.
We did not have time to explore as this was just a stopover. I would point out that we walked into the town centre at about 4-30pm and found that the majority of the shops had already closed. The town appeared very quiet and a bit run down but is well-situated for surrounding attractions.
All your needs catered for. Breakfast was sensational and also the personal touch provided by Filip and Gavin. It was lovely spending time with them over breakfast. 2 hours passed by without realising it. I have stayed in many places over the years none can compare with this experience. It’s more than home from home. We wished we had booked for another night. If we ever go back to Blairgowrie I would never consider booking any where else than the Isla Rose. Wishing them both the best for future ventures
Everything. The pictures do not do the lodge justice. Lovely property, gardens & host. The facilities, internet & shower we’re 10/10 which is unusual for this type of property.
Locally there are several shops for your groceries, a couple of bars, a fish and chip shop and a really nice BYOB Indian restaurant where we got to take our own wine/beer.
The location allows easy public transport to Dundee, Perth, Blairgowrie and other areasand Dunkeld and other places are only a short drive away.
Beautiful large house within walking distance of Blairgowrie . Lovely , spacious room with modern waterfall shower and room overlooks the garden . Excellent choice for breakfast . Guest lounge was cosy and good coffee always available . Perfect for relaxing and reading after a day out . Friendly hosts who were chatty and knowledgeable about the area . Delicious home made muffins provided for our river walk . Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend.
Brilliant welcome, stunning room and best of all. Fantastic hosts. Attention to detail impeccable and little touches that puts these guys at the heat of what you want for a break.
Even had our very own Hinge & Bracket!!! We howled with laughter at may have been.
Will 100% be back as it’s one of THE places to stay in Scotland and hopefully this time we’ll have more time with you guys for a laugh.
John & Sabine.
Clean, comfortable and welcoming. Staff are really nice and helpful. The food is excellent and portions are large. The menu is extensive and very good for those of a veggie disposition. Restaurant and bar prices are very reasonable and god value for money. The hotel is easy to locate and a useful stopping-off point on the route to the North Coast 500. Good wifi. Excellent shower and toiletries.
Location was good they have 2 car parks one at the main door and one round the back so plenty of parking on offer breakfast was lovely plenty of choice mostly a full scottish is on offer there is a spa next/same building aswell if you want that there is a tesco about 5mins walk from the hotel and plenty of pubs and grub food within walking distance
Cosy, quaint little bothy with a real fire, plus an additional electric radiator, lovely room, so nice to lie in bed with the log burner gently lighting the room, well equipped kitchen and a modern bathroom. Wi-fi via phones was good as well. Great area if you're a walker.
Well equipped chalets with a nice balcony at great location right on the river in Blairgowrie. Perfect for a family gathering. Very dog friendly. Kay was a fantastic host - providing lots of useful local info before arrival and very responsive. Barbecue also available.
The location! Perfect for visiting with family & friends in that part of Scotland.
The local shops were ideal for all that was needed.
Great walks around this area too.
The lodge had everything that I needed including peace & quiet.
Red Squirrels were an added bonus.
It was central enough for Blairgowrie..5min in the car to Blairgowrie golf course.
Great butchers opposite and could keep the goods cold in the apartments fridge freezer.
Plenty of room in the place with a great little kitchen. Looks all refurbished lately.
Bed configuration suited our group of 6 friends. Cottage was a little cold on arrival but living area soon heated up with log burner. There was linen hanging over the banister on arrival and downstairs bathroom could have been cleaner.
A lovely cottage - just a very short drive outside Blairgowrie (a bit far to walk). All mod cons and very comfy beds - nice and quiet for a good night's sleep. We will use this again on our return to the area.
Bus stop directly outside the hotel. Punctual buses to and from Blairgowrie. Though I did not use the bar facilities, it looked nice and comfortable. Nice breakfast. Friendly staff.
Beautiful lodge, well maintained, we were made very welcome by our hosts, very relaxing ,we would definitely recommend this lodge if you're looking for somewhere to stay in Blairgowrie
