It was a lovely quiet spot with a lovely host Tina who was there to greet us on arrival. She then was very unobtrusive valuing our privacy (as she lived on site) The apartment we stayed in was attached to her house. It wa immaculate, cosy and warm and every item there that would be necessary in a self catering establishment. There were countryside views from every window and it was also a very bright apartment. Outside if it had been summer there was a lovely personal garden with patio furniture, bbq and loungers to sit and watch the birds with a glass in hand. Only thing we thought would be of help would be an anti slip mat for the bath when showering but apart from that all you needed was there. Well done Tina giving us a lovely little Autumn break with lots of sights both country and coastal to hand.

Free parking. Comfortable, clean, friendly, quiet. Good breakfast. We were in a first floor annex (the coaching house room). Not suitable on the first floor for people who can’t negotiate stairs. But beautifully quiet and private close to main house.

I didn't really get to see the village but in terms of location, you are across the road from the train station (but don't hear the trains) (direct to Ipswich) and there is a public house next door (though this doesn't seem to open on Mondays and Tuesdays). There is a local shop around the corner. Applying to the area in general, the roads can be a bit narrow with tight bends. Just take care. It's relatively near to the main A12 (not to see or hear) so access by car is straight forward. Would advise having a SAT NAV for those journeys to SNAPE or Orford or other coastal areas. There aren't a whole lot of petrol stations so make sure you have plenty left when you arrive. (No electric vehicle charge points that I could see).

I was on the way up to Norfolk so just one night. I had stayed there before some years ago with previous owners. All turned around and upgraded so rather different. Very clean because everything was new but a little bit too minmal for me, especially for a country location.

Beautiful tranquil location down an isolated country lane. Lovely views from all windows of fields and gardens. Very pretty rooms and good sized bathroom. Well equipped small kitchen. Easy short drive to Woodbridge, Aldeburgh and other local beauty spots. Great starting point for (flat) cycle rides.
