The suite was extensive with a huge bathroom. Rather a bizarre configuration because it comprised various parts of an old house, but very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially accommodating our having breakfast in a separate room as we weren't feeling terribly well. The grounds were lovely, too. A lot of thought and work has been put into this hotel.

The location was good for my business meeting. The in-room facilities were very good with Iron, Hair Dryer etc. Good coffee and tea making facilities with bonus biscuits. Although the weather was absolutely horrendous, I can imagine the outdoor heated pool would be amazing in the summer months.

My husband and I stayed midweek early season for one night as we were walking through on our honeymoon. We appreciated the manager Sue switching us from a room with a window over the street to a room with a water view, even though another staff member was saying that we would need to pay extra for that upgrade.
