Our room was beautiful, first floor though so the view was out into the parking lot. The property was beautiful. We had drinks at the bar and dinner in the bar area which was delicious. And breakfast was wonderful! We loved that the castle had the fireplace going in the main room, it was nice and warm and made the "lobby" very inviting.

Absolute perfection. For anyone looking to visit Inverness, forget about fancy overpriced generic hotels, this is without a doubt the text book definition of B&B.
Rooms - a wonderfully decorated rooms with a highland theme, where even the most fault-finding person would be left speechless. The attention to details rival both in practicality and decor all but the most exclusive hotels. The rooms are a subtle celebration of the Scotland with guest always being the main focus.
Amenities - along with the usual features such as kettle, coffee, tea packets etc... the host provided slippers and soft robes, ear plugs, hot water bottles, neck pillows and ferm bed that provided a sleep that even the most carefree feline would envy.
In addition, we were welcomed with a drum of of good quality whiskey and two home made deserts in the room. For the first time visitor in the highlands, these simple items leave you in awe, for such simple things elevate this from a overnight stay to lifetime experience.
The showers are over excellent quality and pressure, with large cabinets. The room we stayed also had desk in case the need of work should arrive however, it is ones opinion that this would be a most terrible waste of such surroundings 😉.
Breakfast - breakfast was a full English with all the trimmings. In addition to this the host heard of my interest in haggis and also provided this for breakfast.
Location - fairly easy to find with navigation, located next to another b&b called Garry. For restaurants, only tried one but I can recommend the cottage restaurant. About 30 min walking but definitely worth it.
Summary - For anyone looking to start a B&B get a note pad and a few days in here, you'll have all the information you need.
I can't imagine a better place for a first stay in the highlands, that being said for those looking for a romantic getaway, this place will not all tick the boxes but create new ones for future reference.

The little gal at the desk was SO nice!! The rooms were clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable and before and after breakfast, we went for a walk around the area and saw some cool things. The breakfast was "Continental", but there was a fairly large selection of things to choose from. The coffee was WONDERFUL!! 😁
If we come back again and need to stay in that vicinity, we will DEFINITELY go back!!!
Quaint independent shopping, excellent coffee shop three doors down from Harry's excellent bakery, Very good hiking , We did a great Strathpeffer to Dingwell hike up to and along the ridge, great views all around,

Didn't do much in Dingwall, used the hotel as a base, the main street very run down,if you don't mind driving beautiful scenery everywhere, especially in a trip to Ullapool,it was a very cold and frosty day, stunning,we ate lunch out wherever we went, and ate in the hotel at night,no complaints all round.

Dingwall is a very pleasant wee town in a beautiful part of the country and we found the locals to be very welcoming. It's on the rail route north from Inverness so is easy to get to if you don't want to drive. There a good selection of eating places and Inverness is only 12 miles away if you want a bit more to do.

Quaint little town in the southern highlands, just north of Inverness and away from the stresses of the city traffic… Dingwall provides the best of both worlds, with plenty to do in the local area, easy access to the surrounding areas and peaceful country vibes.

Dingwall is a lovely town, plenty of shops, eating places and pubs. It is a great base for visiting other locations, the train & buses are regular. We have visited a few times now and we will be back again
We had one night stay in the hotel in our journey. We arrived to the hotel during the night and it wasn’t any problem to check in. The booking didn’t have a breakfast because of COVID, but we had kettle and tea/ coffee there so it wasn’t a problem in the morning.
Next to the hotel is Indian restaurant which was very good. We recommend to eat there.
The overall was very good for that that price.
This inconspicuous roadside hotel in a small village turned out to be one of the best hotels I've been to. I can't think of any flaws, it's just perfect. The room was good size, clean and comfortable, no facilities missing. Amazing food at the restaurant both for dinner and breakfast. The staff were super friendly. Our dog was also warmly welcomed and loved the place. 10/10, would book again.
Location was great for getting into Dingwall and right by the station if we needed to get into Inverness. The accommodation was beautifully presented and decorated with everything very clean. Towels provided as well as all cleaning materials etc and basics for the kitchen. There was also breakfast items available for the first morning which was an unexpected surprise.
Very unique hotel, well appointed with period furnishings. Hotel has a long history and it was nice to discover the different rooms, nooks and crannies. Very comfortable public areas. Staff quite pleasant. Bed and bath updated and comfortable. Restaurant food and staff very good. Nice pub as well for winding down.
Great location..stunning home..thee most beautiful ..comfortable …immaculate room…we have ever had the pleasure to stay in! absolute perfection..our hostess Gillian the most wonderful lovely lady….her breakfast and breakfast room to die for….anyone coming to Dingwall will love Carnaby house! DO NOT MISS OUT!
- Friendly staff, which had to take care of three facilities (due to a lack of employees)
- Private parking lot on the hotel grounds
- Spacious (family) room and bathroom
- Great location in Dingwall, only a few minutes by foot from a park and the river
- Cheap petrol station and nearby supermarkets
Everything unfortunately I couldn't stay as the only room they had left was on the top floor I am disabled so it wasn't practical. But what a beautiful hotel and the poor staff couldn't have been anymore helpful and apologetic about my situation. However I found somewhere to stay that night.
I booked this bed and breakfast very last minute. Was traveling around Scotland on holiday and decided to stop here for the night to have dinner with my friend. The host was so amazing and accommodating with my last minute booking. Their home had everything I need and more.
Great flat near the centre of Dingwall - but nice and quiet. Friendly host, well-equipped kitchen, good sized rooms, all mod cons, everything spotlessly clean. Heating easy to control. Handy location for the station and buses.
Rooms were clean and the bed was very comfy. Easy access to Inverness and Black Isle region. Parking available although we preferred leaving car in the front of the hotel it felt more secure.
The hotel was very clean and surprisingly quiet. The restaurant and bar were just downstairs so it was great for tired travellers :) The staff was very kind. The food was excellent!
Great location in Dingwall. Super close to amazing butcher, fruit and vegetable grocer and bakery so was really was a pleasure to stay there with the family.
Host was very accommodating and quick to respond to questions via email. Room was spotless and well equipped. Will definitely use again when up in Dingwall
