First full day we went to Lanark, very good for shops, Then we drove up towards Hamilton and visited Chatelherault Country Park and House which was very good and free. it also had a nice café.
2nd Day we went to New Lanark Mills visitor attraction where we spent an absolute great day. there were a 11 different places to explore but by far the best was the Annie Mcleod Experience. A ride through history in a Pod. Again another lovely restaurant.
The ticket price at £9 for concessions was well worth it.

Excellent place to stay for a couple of days or as an overnight stay when travelling further into Scotland . It was a busy hotel with lots of weddings etc. This however did not interfere with our stay. Soundproofing in the hotel was good and we were given a room that was quiet. Not much to see around Larkhall but The Kelpies and the Falkirk wheel are nearby and both are worth a visit. Staff are all exceptionally friendly yet professional. Meals we have had in the restaurant have been good. This time as only there overnight just had an afternoon tea and a breakfast. Prices have risen since visit last year but this was only to be expected. Will definately stay again.

The photos are different from the actual place, but the place is absolutely fantastic and photos don’t capture the ambiance of the place, one member of the staff played the piano and everyone stopped to ask if it was really him playing, he was that good, I recommend that he plays during the evening and I guarantee people will travel to witness absolute perfection on the piano

I have stayed here often. It is a good hotel. This time, though, after I booked on Friday, I was told they were not doing meals - that was Saturday. I went ahead as I couldn't think of an alternative at such short notice and I had to be in the area. I was disappointed that when I asked if breakfast was included it turned out not to be the case. I evened called to query this to be told to include it in my booking. Unfortunately, here was no such option

You need a special reason to go there.
You need a special reason to go there. If you do not, you will wish you had not bothered. Popinjay particularly disappointing as I recall it from my youth as an old fashioned British style pub with great bar. Now it has been "improved" into a 70's "bistro", Soul-less, grubby and totally beyond redemption.

The hotel isn't actually in Larkhall.
The hotel isn't actually in Larkhall. It's in a small village called Rosebank about 4 miles away. Larkhall itself is just a small former mining town with no tourist attractions to speak of and doubt whether many people would actually go there to stay. Actual location of hotel was good if you were planning on touring the Clyde valley area which is very scenic and has plenty of tourist attractions
The hotel has no restaurant, no WiFi and no leisure facilities open. The grounds are in disarray. The staff tried somewhat to assist us but we were travelling with two children with autism and were not told when booking the non-refundable room that these basic facilities were not available. Upon arrival my son went into a major meltdown due to no WiFi and we ended up leaving and going home within an hour of arriving. Extremely disappointed and want a full refund from booking.com
Breakfast was very good with a good selection considering covid restrictions.. gorgeous outdoor beer garden where we had our meal the night before. friendly pleasant staff. meal was lovely. room was good size with adequate facilities. very clean and fresh decor. The hotel is very near to Larkhall Karting centre and Larkhall village has all the shops you would need.
The hotel was just what I needed - a nice clean room, parking, late check-in available and a nice breakfast.
The staff at both ends of my stay were friendly and cheerful and weren't at all phased by my 9pm arrival.
Would use again when I'm in the area.
We are on a 14 day 350 mile walk from Glasgow to St Neots and Larkhall was our first stop raising awareness and funds for suicide prevention #pacing4pat350. The hotel provided us with a roast dinner on arrival and we’re very welcoming
Loved the secluded location, luxurious bathroom and the finishing touches. We could let the dog out in the large garden in comfort knowing that the facility was fully gated. Thank you for your hospitality we had a lovely time.
The location of the hotel is ideal to get straight back onto the motorway. The room was well kept and was so spacious. Both Richard and his wife were so welcoming. I managed to also get an amazing dinner whilst at the hotel.
It was overall good; smaller than I expected, loved the shower facilities, but was annoyed how the shower made the rest of the bathroom unnecessarily wet. Staff was nice and helpful, breakfast was great, the pool was great.
The hotel is in a quiet area with the option of a walk along the Clyde. The hotel itself is quiet so we could relax at night. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable. Definitely value for money.
This cottage is beautifully presented with everything we needed, very comfortable and the garden was just lovely. We enjoyed the silence in this country location but still close enough to Larkhall.
Excellent staff, friendly, cheerful and helpful. Evening meal was very good and reasonably priced. Rooms clean, breakfast lovely. History of the hotel on the walls was interesting.
I have stayed at this hotel a few times and never disappoints. No negatives from me at all and I stayed at one of their sister hotels the next night and that was just as impressive.
The room was lovely especially the lovely soft bed . We had a meal at the hotel and we got big servings and lovely food . The staff were very friendly and helpful as
