The B&B is in a great location, in a pretty setting. The home was well-appointed and cozy. It is only a short walk to the town center and restaurants, shops, etc.
Breakfast was very good. The bathroom was large and nicely renovated.

Most of the staff were very friendly. However the manager did not value me as a customer even though I paid for a double room just for myself. I believe I was allocated an unsuitable (main street outside) room to be asked to pay more to upgrade to the more expensive one.

Very quaint. It is known as Little Switzerland and certainly lives up to that name. We ate at our hotel The Rock House and at The Village Inn. Also breakfast one morning at The Rising Sun (sister hotel of The Rock House.)Everything is within walking distance. All the shops are gift shops or food outlets. Nearest small supermarkets are up in Lynton, easily accessed by the Cliff Railway. There are no Banks, Post Office or ATMs in Lynmouth. A great place to relax and enjoy the area.A good selection of bars and restaurants but yo need to go into Linton for grocery or pharmacist. Dog friendly with plenty of parking. Beautiful village right next to the sea and river that can be explored for miles through National trust walks. Also has an old cliff railway that allows easy excess to Lynton which is high above Lynmouth.

The building has so much character, and my room was perfect after a hike along the coast path - having a bath was the best surprise I could've hoped for! I was able to grab a drink from the bar and sit in on my windowsill looking out at the sea view. The restaurant wasn't open, which was a shame, but the manager very kindly arranged a table for me at their sister hotel, the Rock Inn, which was lovely. Best family room we have ever had. We stayed in the 'quarterdeck ' which had a nautical theme, with bunk beds for our children, a cosy TV nook that they instantly claimed as well as a seating area, kitchenette, ensuite and comfy bed for us. The breakfast was delicious, and all the staff were really friendly and helpful.

Uncomfortable to eat in retarant so cancelled second nights dinner.No one asked us on leaving if we were happy and many guest were not happy about how cold it was. In the room heating did not come on until7.30am again cold when you get up early, breakfast room very cold. But breakfast good safff nice and the hotel is clean.

There are a couple of pubs (serving food) in Lynmouth and more choices in Lynton. Great walks from the doorstep. We did a 10 mile walk to Watersmeet, Countisbury, Lynton and valley of the rocks, which whilst hard going in places, had brilliant views.
