The hosts live upstairs and were quite warm and friendly. They gave us a great orientation tour and answered all our questions. They thought of many small details like providing reusable bottles of water and having a few snacks. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom spacious with plenty of hot water. The home was impeccably clean. The location is remote, which was our desire, but still only about a 7-8 minute drive from center of town. Highly recommend.

Very clean property. Equipped with plates, bowls, cups, mugs, glasses and cutlery. Cooking utensils were also there with a tin and bottle opener. We didn’t cook for the one day/night we were there but easily could have done had we wanted to. Bedding was all clean and the bathroom was spotless. Location wise it was great and there was a bar/restaurant literally 1 minute round the corner which we got takeaway from and found reasonable.

Millim is a quiet small village. Not alot to do there so would have to travel to attractions usually a minimum of half hr drive. It is a quaint little village though with a few lovely walks. Could do it all in a day though.

Millom itself is lovely, very old and like setting back in time with the stone houses and dirty net curtains. Beach is lovely albeit rather black and muddy. Beachside bar and restaurant is great for food, very friendly.

Millom itself is a very rural place and not really a tourist destination as such, however. Its a great location base for walking and Haverigg Beach is also just a short drive away.People are very friendly and shopping choice is very limited so take as much as you can with you.

The beach at Millom was pebble based and not suitable for children. Part of an estuary the sand fed lots of birds so unsuitable for swimming and the sea itself inaccessible when the tide was out. The town was not somewhere to visit for a break or weekend away

The road on the way up to the caravan is full of big pot...
The road on the way up to the caravan is full of big pot holes, the caravan itself is sited in the worse part of the site, no working lights only lamps and battery powered stick up ones in the hallway, broken smoke alarms, we stayed for 3 nights and after we left we got a message asking us to return the sound bar we had stolen, then 20 mins later another message oh sorry we have found the sound bar, and because I was then angry at being accused of theft he then tried to say I damaged his caravan ,moaned about dogs hairs in the caravan even thou they allow pets and don’t provide a Hoover, avoid at all costs, scruffy caravan and rude hosts, have never stayed anywhere as bad as this, many more nicer and cleaner places to stay at the same price, below is a photo of your view from the caravan and the type of caravan we stayed in
Cottage was attached to farm house & was in the middle of know where which was lovely. It was very quiet & the owner was very helpful. Views at the top of the drive were stunning. Never far away from places to visit.
Cottage had everything we needed & was very comfortable & cosy.
Not close to any shops but we had everything we needed for our stay so this wasn't a problem.
Had everything we needed & location was ideal for us as remote & out of the way.
lovely period cottage. Fabulously clean and well equipped. Comfortable beds Two en-suite bathrooms and a hot tub also very clean and well maintained. Additional bonus was that it is on the grounds of a hotel so we were able to have a drink on terrace. should also add 18 peacocks on site. wonderful tails and we were there during mating season so in full display. got a bit loud at times but great fun
The apartment was spacious, and had absolutely everything we needed. The beds were really comfy, and the flat was well situated as a base for lake district hikes.
The apartment is in great condition, and despite being in what looks like a Victorian era building, it has clearly been renovated to excellent modern standards, and stayed nice and warm with the heating on.
Liked that they provided a stair gate it was definitely needed as our child enjoys having adventures. Bed was comfortable. Lovely bottle of red wine on our arriival.
Area was nice and some nice coves around that were quiet.
Millom museum was nice to go to and the restaurant by the station was fantastic the food was great and value for money :-)
Easy access, clean area and was easy to contact the hosts about questions of things on the site and in the area. Central to the lake district, heating was perfect and lots of hot water for washing and showers too. Plenty of space for 6 adults and all our walking and swimming equipment. Would recommend to friends.
the location of the hotel to the station was ideal and the breakfast was amazing and filling the host was very welcoming and friendly and could not do enough to make sure everything was perfect definitely stay there again
Great quiet location as long you are willing to travel here and there. We had daily trips to lake district various locations. We had a dog jack russell with us. Long walks available behind the lodge. Very pleasant place.
The cottage is very near to the sea at Millom. It is a nice little cottage and clearly efforts have been made recently to update it making it quite cosy and comfy. Tom (owner) seems like a really nice guy 😊
Sherry and Lauren were friendly and very accommodating. The double room is large and well furnished with a chair, fridge, fan and microwave. Good location for exploring coastal areas and the Lake District.
Good location, close to Lake District. Communication was very good and smooth check in, excellent and relaxing place with lake view. For money paid, I think we received a reasonable accommodation.
Gorgeous rooms, really high quality furnishings and decor, super kind staff who accommodated us fantastically. Also, fabulous food in the morning as well as a superb view. A wonderful hotel.
Lovely homely feel with good amenities, everything you needed from a home from home. Great location to explore the nation parks, sea front and bike rides. Close to supermarkets and shops.
It's a good starting point for trips to Lake District if you have a car. The caravan felt bigger than we expected and was quite comfortable. There's a playground in the caravan village.
