The Beacon & Railway Hotel, hotel in Oakle Street

The Beacon & Railway Hotel is set in the village of Haresfield, in the heart of the Cotswolds. This 19th-century country inn features its own restaurant and cozy bar.

The hotel is a 10 minute drive/cab ride from the Stonehouse train station, which is in the center of town. We stayed at The Beacon Hotel & Railway for five nights - The location is great for visiting the charming Cotswolds - we visited Bibury, Bourton on the water, Broadway Tower and Chipping Campden. The bedrooms are good size with comfortable beds and clean bright bathrooms. There’s a pub downstairs with a very friendly crowd and beautiful bartenders. The hotel restaurant serves delicious abundant and affordable meals for breakfast lunch and dinner.

Number 2 at The Red Lion, hotel in Oakle Street

Located in Huntley, 7.7 miles from Kingsholm Stadium, Number 2 at The Red Lion has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar.

Dont be put off by first impressions. It's a very old property and yes a bit tired but Joy and Godfrey have done an amazing job in making this feel like home from home. They have put their heart and soul into this , the pub comes to life at night and just ask the locals what they think! A little gem and xmas decs amazing! I booked this for Cheltenham races due to prices. 20 miles away but only half hours drive and amazing value as a budget room. Sorry Joy I took my key home with me! I will put it in the post.

Lovely barn conversion with large lounge and open plan kitchen and eating area. Excellent location to commute to Gloucester, Bristol and Swindon. Difficult to locate property in the dark, although once we had identified some landmarks, this was easily overcome.

Quiet location. Excellent host welcoming and relaxed. Great breakfast iin beautiful dining room overlooking the farm. Flexible with checkout time. Comfortable big bed, ensuite with (small) shower. Could be challenging to find if arriving after dark! Country lover haven.. Labradors wander into the room!! Host has horses stabled near the rooms, which are converted farm buildings. Highly recommended.
