Lovely quiet location and easy to find. Dog friendly and they meant it rather than just saying it. Locals were in with dogs as well as overnight guests and it was a really welcoming and friendly atmosphere. To top it off the food and beer selection were exceptional and the staff were attentive and really lovely people.

Juile was an amazing host, made you feel at home, and couldn't help you enough! :) The house and room were spotless and fabulous. Gorgeous free standing bath in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable, and even linen was top quality. My partner didn't feel well the day we were due to check out, and she allowed us to stay later for him to rest until we headed to the airport. A lady! 10/10 highly recommend. Great location for Alton towers and a lovely country escape.

There is not much to Onecote itself, just a village hall (where you can park for free if the drive is a little narrow for your car). Unfortunately the only pub is now closed.
It is however, very well situated to get to other places however, with Leek, Hartington (excellent pubs and walks), Hulme End (for the manifold trail and bike hire), The Roaches and Lud's Church all being within 10 to 20 mins drive.
