All of the Staff were very friendly and lovely, and the food was so nice. The Welsh Breakfast was very tasty, used good quality local ingredients. We had Scallops to start which were cooked to perfection. My partner had the Cod which was so succulent and full of flavour with a good portion. I had the monkfish which was a little over and the portion of the overall dish was small for the price, but the taste was lush! We didnt use the pool area but it looked nice from outside!

Lovely, recently refurbished room with plenty of space, plus two comfortable chairs [you often only get one in a double room!]. Never judge a book by its cover! Our hearts sank as we approached the Marquis along Dumfries Street but once inside it was warm and very welcoming. The staff were helpful and the bar meals good. Easy walking distance from the station.
