After three weeks of various standard types of accommodation...

After three weeks of various standard types of accommodation all over the UK, we decided to try what looked like a fun thing to do for we 70+ couple and stay in the “pod”. This was indeed a fun thing to do: constructing our double bed, working out how to use the compact space, getting over the notion that there is a shower, basin and toilet all in the space of a large-ish shower recess and deciding we didn’t have time to get our heads around all the modern whiz-bangery audio etc. There are draws and shelves which are not immediately obvious, but which help organise the space, and what you don’t need you can leave in the car in the car space provided. It is a very clever space and Sue, our host, was very helpful and friendly, and her recommendation of the Davron restaurant nearby was vindicated by excellent food and service. The bed is very comfortable and a range of pillows is available. The only negative was that we could not work out how to get any better than cool luke warm water out of the shower, a pity because otherwise the shower is very good and the concept of a wet room for the bathroom works surprisingly well. And it IS right on the shore, 9/10…10/10 with hot shower. Kim & Debby (from Sydney, Australia)
