Hygge Somerset, hotel in Shapwick

Hygge Somerset in Street provides accommodations with a garden, barbecue facilities, and a shared lounge.

Joe was an amazing host. As soon as I arrived she welcomed me into the house, took my bicycle away for safe storage and even gave me dinner. Joe certainly went above and beyond. I was looking forward to a salad or vegetables after a number of days of pub food, but the supermarkets were closed when I arrived on Sunday evening. Joe disappeared for a moment and reappeared with a delicious plate of roasted vegetables. Just what I’d been craving. My room was really comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities were in the room. Since my bathroom was across the hallway, there was a bath robe a pair of slippers provided. Nice touches. It was great to have access to the kitchen and the sitting room. In the morning Joe left out eggs, bread for toast, cereals and a selection of marmalade and jams. I really enjoyed my stay and felt welcomed and at home.

Lovely place for a base we travelled to various locations every day. Lovely quiet surroundings and people were extremely pleasant including our hosts Andrew and Helen. Visited Torquay babbacombe model village, Kent’s cavern, Glastonbury, Frome, Wells cathedral, Street and the shopping outlet, two markets which were interesting. Good views of the tor. Went into Weston super mare. Weather was good, stayed an extra night loved it.
